The BEST restaurant in Palenque!! The food was authentic to the Chiapas region. I tried many new things like chapay (vegetable that looks and tastes like vegan mince), Chaya (bitter spinach), plantains (banana but sweeter and fried), and crocodile. The food was absolutely delicious so we came here twice. There are lots of choices on the menu and plenty of vegetarian options too. The portions were good and the staff were friendly and hospitable. The seating is outdoor but covered by a roof. The atmosphere is great and they had live music. Service is quick. For dessert we had stewed pumpkin in molasses and cinnamon. We also tried the local delicacy of pan de elote ( sweetcorn cake) which was amazing and I recommend you try it! I would love to come back here

One of the better Restaurants during our tour across Chiapas. Ask for the handmade tortillas and the local dishes. We really liked the food and the very attentive service. They have some typically regional sweets that you should try for dessert.

Great steak done to perfection as ordered. Tender vegetables and baked potato were great. My partner order pork, salad and vegetables. Said it was also perfect with spices.
Great service, waiter spoke a little English 👍😁. It was very hot out and they turned the fan by the table on which was a great plus. Many restaurants don't have fans. Restraunt was not busy. reasonably priced. Good quality. Cleanliness-perfect

We loved this treasure of Palenque, with its beautifully friendly staff and the stunning open jungle-feel location. If you are lucky the howler monkeys play in the trees above. The food is exceptional. Beautiful flavours, beautifully prepared. Some off-the-cuff options are available like fried caterpillars (zatz), crocodile, rabbit and savage pork (wild pig/jabali). Great vegetarian menu too. This restaurant is an absolute must!

This restaurant is great and is steeped in local history having been in operation since 1958.

All of the food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxing and authentic.

There was a guitar player and singer at the restaurant who played Spanish language songs from around the world, explaining their history before he played them.

Crocodile was on the menu and it was tasty. Be advised that if you order it, one bit might be chewy.. this is not the fault of the kitchen but unfortunately can sometimes just happen with the wrong part of the crocodile.

Salads and soups were wonderful as well.

The service was friendly and we left feeling satisfied and happy with everything - something which has not been a recurring theme on our travels in Mexico!

One of our favourite meals, loved the food here, really well cooked and with complementary small dishes, staff where amazing, yes you might pay more than other restaurants but quality shows. Would come again here, I recommend you try the wild pork with peanut sauce and the steak tacos

Very tasty food and even vegetables on our plates. Didn't see it that often on our holidays that vegetables came along. The prices were higher than usual, but that is because of our European meat choices I guess.

The service/staff is great! Good athmosphere! Free Wifi😅 the free starter is good!(Bread with garlic butter) and the food is really really good! Even tho it cost abit more then normal, it's worth it!:D and the service is fast!

We tried some of their local food, and they were quite tasty. The rib-eye steak was excellent, cooked just right, and its taste was quite unique.

While this resturant is expensive for Mexico, the food is extremely high quality. The chips / salsas and bread / butter are excellent. The tortillas are perfect. I had the pollo Palenque and the flavor was outstanding. Worth the money if you are willing to spend a few extra $$ on food.

Very friendly stuff, good food and a clean Toilette. Prices are not the cheapest, but good for this quality. There was live-music and authentically dishes. Also good vine is served.

Extremely good food. The fish and the deer meat are awesome. Chipas is of course a good place for eating.

This restaurant have very interesting proposals on their menu, including crocodile meat or a plate of well-seasoned worms for an appetizer, service at a very high level, and the food is delicious, a perfect place to try local cuisine and try new flavors

A very consistent tourist restaurant. After bad experiences picking well-reviewed places from Maps in Palenque, we ended up coming here for the last couple nights of our stay. The food isn't spectacular, but the Fried Yuca and Pina Colada stood out to me. The Yuca fries were very tasty, similar in texture to sweet potato fries but you probably won't find them elsewhere.

If you're vegetarian, the "Chapay cooked Mexican style" is a pretty good imitation of beef tacos, I'm kinda surprised I don't see Chapay as an imitation meat in the US.

The service was great, the waiters were very attentive.

Excellent experience. The place is elegant but very touristic (and tourists is the only people you will see there). But the food is great, with many dishes from chiapateca cuisine (an option not easy to find in town).
I tried the barbacoa cunejo (stewed rabbit) and it was amazing, and the side vegetables too.

Great spot. Quick and polite service, food didn't take long and was full of flavour. The chicken broth soup is delicious. The live keyboard music was also a fun touch to the evening. It may not look busy but this place is good!

Finally a place with nopal! And they had this local food called Chapay from here in Chiapas. It was sooooo god! Ask for it. Perfect for vegetarians. Had plenty of vegetarian options too. (my pic is with chicke)
