Charlys Hotel

Carlos and Betty are absolutely amazing hosts and people who treated myself and my companions with great kindness. In addition to being very flexible with our check in time which was last minute and late in the evening, during our stay Betty offered to drive us to some cool Maya ruins an hour away and was great to have along, and Carlos came to our aid without hesitation after we contacted him while having some issues with the local police giving us a hard time at a checkpoint down the road. As for the place itself, the rooms are nice with cold AC and all the amenities you need, and the courtyard and grounds are beautiful. Lastly, they provide coffee in the mornings and a full kitchen for use. I only give them 5 stars because I can't give them 6. I know where I'll be staying anytime I visit Chetumal!
