Plaza de Armas Tampico

This is a very nice, peaceful Plaza to stroll around or to just sit, listen to the music and watch the world go by. There are many eateries and places to shop. The Mauricio Garzes' house is nearby as well, for those who were fans. Walking distance to Plaza de la Libertad, The Port and the Tortas de la barda, at Rene's. Easy ride there from the Central de Autobuses, via a taxi that costs 9 pesos.

Absolutely gorgeous place in the heart of historic Tampico. It's my favorite spot in the city to come and relax on a Sunday morning. Several dining options to choose from and there's frequently bands and dance groups performing. I love it.

Went to tampico for a wedding and this was the first and last stop. Very cute. Love parks in Mexico always, lots going on, places to eat, sit, and connect with others. Not common in the US unfortunately so parks are always a highlight for me :)

You can buy rice to feed the pigeons, and nuts for the squirrels. Children love feeding both. There are two restaurants in the plaza, fancy restaurants in the hotels, and other local foods at stands. Beautiful place to sit, rest, and people watch.

I loved, what can I say, I'm Tampiqueña! I hardly recommend this city and Madero City beaches ⛱ Delicious food and lovely people!

Just a normal plaza, it's nice to come after 6pm and around, there are people selling seeds to feed the birds, and sometimes there are musicians playing, nice place to chill and relax for a while with the family

Beautiful Quiet Church full of history. Definitely visit if on vacation. In the downtown of Tampico.

Tampico's main plaza where you can hang around with your family. Many stores around such coffee shops, restaurants, ice cream and stores. Cathedral and Palacio municipal have great architecture. The kiosk is shaped like an octopus.

Very typical Mexican market in the Centro of Tampico. Lots of prepared foods, vegetables, and Mexican items, inexpensive. Lots of people! Good experience for me. I plan to return during my stay here.
