We did the immersion tour where you arrive an hour before they open and you pay a lot more for your tour. It's definitely a great way to see the gardens because now a days you can't wander around on your own. You always have to be escorted while you're here but the tour gives you a more intimate view. It's highly recommended if a bit pricey.

Yes, a visit is definitely worth it and yes, you should visit but keep an open mind.

Wonderful place.

Out of this world experience. The history of this guy who had the imagination to build this in a jungle is amazing. The structures are incredible. More than 7,000 steps all over. The tour guide explains the history of the artist/owner and how his vision all began.

***Amazing***

We have so much fun, this place is simply amazing. We went in March and it wasn't that hot. I saw many comments before about the heat and humidity. Neither of those were issues for us. Because of the drought that was affecting the entire world on the time of my visit, there was very little water and some pozas were completely dried. Hope that when you visit the park will have more water ... Even with lack of water, I do recommend this place. The views and drive leading up to the park were breathtaking 🤩

I've waited on this trip for quite some time so I was thrilled to be there. I used what's app to set up my private tour of the gardens and paid online a couple of months in advance for a private tour of the gardens.

Well worth the time to book a private tour and get there early. The time spent and access to more areas than the normal tour is key to taking this fantasy land in.

There are not enough words to describe this utterly astonishing landscape. Upon driving in, you lose yourself in the mountainside. Everything disappears behind you.

Heaven lies in here... in the mountainside. The beauty, the sound of the birds, the water flowing all around, an unending array of fuana and flora intertwining with a wondrous concrete garden.

Manuel was the impressive guide and chock full of information about the gardens. His love for the garden and its inhabitants shine.

Thank you for having me.

THANK YOU MANUEL!

Please note: all tours will have a guide due to damage in the gardens by visitors and safety issues. No tours are given without a guide.

The private tour set up ahead of time allows access to areas of the garden that normal daily tours do not access.

A unique spot into the nature

A must to visit once in life. Also visit Xilitla downtown.

Might be a one day trip getting early in the morning. Two or tree days to relax and chill on Xilitla.

We did the English tour and booked tickets well in advance. This is an amazing and magical place. Our tour guide had been the Driver of Edward James and lived on property so we really got an inside view of this place. The tour was well done and spread out so we did not run into any other groups during our tour. Only 5 people in our group. I highly recommend!

What an amazing and magical place! I wish I had been here years before, before it became as touristy as it is now. In those days you were free to wander wherever you wanted, without a guide - or hand rails. I imagine a few bad things happened...

But touring through the sculptures and buildings, seeing the bizarre creations from a man with more ideas than money, and time to see things through. I wonder what the grand plan was, what it could have, or would have, been had he completed it. Or was it ever meant to be complete?

Some questions will never be answered, as James is no longer with us to answer them. But if you're in the area, you owe it to yourself to check out the wonderful creations of such a creative man.

Incredible, surreal gardens with architecture straight out of a dream. Essentially the home of a creative dreamer who loves nature and has unlimited money.

Probably the best thing to do around Jalpan. English guides available 10 am and 3 pm. You can only get tickets for the same day from booth in Xilitla central square (30 mins walk). Don’t fall for “you can’t reserve tickets for today, but we have ATV+garden combined tickets” scam sold on the way there, just go to Xilitla center and buy regular tickets.

Beautiful place to visit, so much history behind every sculpture and you will be amaze with the falls view. The walk could be a little challenging but if my 72 year old mother made it I am sure you will too. Our guide was knowledgeable, informative and a very fun person. You can have an English speaking person as a guide if you like.
You can purchased the tickets in downtown or on line, lots of stands for souvenirs, little restaurants on side of the road and clean restrooms ($10pesos ).

Magical place. Totally worth the wait. Our guide, Braulio, is really passionate about Edward James, his vision and the place. He explained everything and answered all of our questions. I learned a lot from him.

A Whimsical Second Journey to Las Pozas Xilitla

Having visited Las Pozas Xilitla once before, I was eager to share its surreal beauty with my wife and son on our recent trip, and it did not disappoint. My second visit confirmed that this hidden gem in the heart of Mexico's Huasteca region remains a timeless, magical paradise.

The dreamlike sculpture garden, enveloped by the wild, verdant jungle, was as entrancing as ever. Our son was completely taken with the spiraling staircases to nowhere, the quirky concrete structures, and the lush, cascading waterfalls. His wide-eyed wonder and endless curiosity breathed new life into our exploration, making it a different, yet equally enchanting, experience than my first visit.

One of the highlights of our trip was the peaceful serenity the natural surroundings offered. Despite the bustling tourism, we found quiet corners where we could simply soak in the beauty and listen to the harmony of the jungle sounds, punctuated by cascading water.

My wife, a botanical enthusiast, was captivated by the myriad of exotic plant species flourishing throughout the park. Her joy in discovering and identifying unique flora made our visit all the more special.

The staff at Las Pozas Xilitla were as helpful and friendly as I remembered, providing useful information about the history and concept behind Edward James's eccentric vision. They also pointed us towards great local eateries where we indulged in the delicious regional cuisine, further enriching our cultural experience.

In conclusion, our family trip to Las Pozas Xilitla was an immersive journey into art, nature, and the surreal. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to families, art lovers, and anyone in search of a unique, off-the-beaten-path adventure. The enchantment of Las Pozas Xilitla is something that truly needs to be experienced at least once - or in our case, twice!

Great place to walk around and look at the art buildings. Reserve ahead of time for a fast checking. Tour guide is an additional fee from the entry fee. Love the waterfall that runs thru the property. Lots of small vendors outside for food and souvenir. The closer you get to the entrance the more expensive the items.

Guided tour in Spanish was amazing. They have tours in English, but they are less frequent. You need to reserve your tickets in advance. Don’t wait to the last minute.

I've been wanting to go here for years and the wait was totally worth it. The guided tour is mandatory, and absolutely worth it. Entrance is 150 MEX + 25 MEX for the guides tour. Guides are very knowledgeable and friendly! The tour is a bit over 1 1/2 hours and it is an absolutely mind blowing place. Being comfortable shoes and you camera or phone because you are going to take a lot of pictures :)

This is an amazing guided tour with history you never heard of in school. It has beautiful architecture you have to see in person.

Really awesome place. Visited in August 2nd. The tour guide was awesome. He was very knowledgeable of the history and took his time answering all of our questions. It is a lot of walking, stairs etc so come prepared. The architecture is amazing! You do need a tour guide and cannot wander on your own, which is understandable since people don't use common sense and destroy things. However the tour guide was not expensive. They put you in a group of 20-25 people since it can get full. There are vendors that sell items on your way to the entrance so it is really entertaining.

The garden offers a lush and scenery views. Great sculptures and history behind them. You do need a guide with covid guidelines in place. You do need to purchase tickets in advance and must pay for a toured guide as well. It is well worth it as the guides are well informed and provide the history behind the garden. The tour is about 1 to 1.5 hours long and requires walks uphill. I highly recommend the garden if you are in to history, art and scenic views.

Amazing place! It's magical. A mix of nature and surrealism, James built this beautiful place in the middle of the jungle. We walked around with the tour guide, highly recommended.

It was indeed a great experience visiting this place. The entry ticket was 125 mxn and before the start of the tour they asked for 25 mxn as fees for the tour guide which makes sense as you need someone to guide you through the place and significance of each point. Then there are two parts to it. One which was the house and the other one architectural things for which you need to pay 100 mxn separately and there is no tour guide. But both are completely different experience. There were visitors from different countries. We didn’t knew the experience will be so good until we visited the place. There are ample of street food options on the way to this place. ( do not know the quality of the food as I didn’t try) Also worth mentioning is tour is for an hour so carry your water bottle. There are several photography points which will be mentioned by the guide. Also the view of the waterfall is amazing. Have a happy trip!
