Fornera Wine House

We were really looking forward to our dinner here. and we were not only not disappointed, but our expectations were far surpassed and had one of the best gastronomical experiences ever.
When we arrived, we arrived in a tiny shop, and the proprietor welcomed us, and had us go up a small winding staircase, which led to a small, very intimate dining room.
They have a good selection of high-quality wines and an assortment of younger, inexpensive wines.
The Italian chef, who prepares the meals fresh to order in the dining room, prepared some amazing dishes.
We ordered everything Family Style, so we could all try everything. One in our part is unable to eat fresh onion, or fresh lactose products, and the chef easily accommodated us.
For starters, we started with the Carpaccio, which was the best we have had anywhere. Fresh, mouthwatering, bold flavors, leaving you wanting more! The Carpaccio was memorable and would travel again for this! The perfectly cooked Octopus was also delightful, with roasted grape tomatoes, started us off with very high expectations of what was to come.
For our main entrees, we had Lasagna. A different style than I have ever had, and it was incredible, being one of the best I have ever tried, which is not said lightly. We had gnocchi with a fresh truffle sauce, which was to die for, intense, yet subtle, flavors exploding on the palate, this was incredible. A perfectly cooked loin with red wine and cherry reduction sauce that was spectacular. We loved everything so much we decided to order one more thing. We wanted some ravioli, and since the Chef had now earned our trust tenfold, we asked him to prepare something not on the menu, and he came up with a delicate tasting, but exquisite sauce with tomato, asparagus, which really finished off our meal in style.
For Desserts we had an apple dessert which was excellent and a pie that was also wonderful with an accompanying cream that was heaven.
Our waiter, Emanuel was very good, knew the menu, was however busy at times with helping the chef, which could be improved so we could be slightly more attended to, but in the setting and style of the restaurant, this was not really a bother, and we could always ask him for something.
This was a truly memorable dining experience and would go back to Monterrey just for a meal here, it is that good!

Nos gustó muchísimo la comida, el ambiente, y el servicio. Lo interesante es subir a la área de comer. Definitivamente regresaríamos a comer aquí.

It’s a small, quiet, and even romantic place to eat. There is a wraparound staircase to get to the restaurant section. It’s a very quaint place to eat. Food was great! Will definitely go again.

No wonder it is one of Monterrey’s top three restaurants. It is a trip to Europe’s gastronomy. It is a whole different gastronomic experience. The open kitchen concept is a challenge for any Chef and Mr Fornera has mastered that art. The food is outstanding, the service unique.

Great experience by Fornera wine house . Great location, consumer friendly environment.
Ask for the single table as opposed to the large tables as it offers more privacy and a more romantic dinner. The wine list is also pocket friendly.

Not a budget eatery, but it has the most amazing food and wine. Totally recommend!

The best italian( they hace more options) in nuevo leon, prices are high compare with the zone but totally worth it, has a in house concept with very romantic environment.

Increíble sorpresa. Años viviendo en Cumbres y jamás le había dado la oportunidad a éste restaurante. La experiencia ha sido magnifica, el sabor y la atención del propietario Sandro, el chef y los meseros ha sido genial. El lugar es pequeño pero muy acogedor, una atmósfera de paz y aislamiento cuál estuvieras en una cámara de un castillo medieval. La comida es muy sabrosa y el menú amplio. Recomiendo el filete al gorgonzola y a la mantequilla. El fetuchini 4 quesos es delicioso así como el pan con ajo. Sin duda volveré una y otra vez.

En definitiva es un sitio que brinda una experiencia para todos los sentidos, a pesar de que sus precios pueden parecer elevados vale totalmente la pena visitarlos y dejarte deleitar por el excelente gusto culinario del chef, así como una excelente atención. Sin duda es un sitio al que regresaremos y recomendamos a l@s amantes de la comida italiana. Tip para el fin de semana: acudan con previa reserva porque el sitio se llena ya que no es tan grande.

Cocina exquisita de un sabor inigualable, todo lo que nos pedimos estaba buenísimo, la atención de Juan el mesero y el Chef Sandro buenísima, doy un 10/10, lo super recomiendo. He de regresar cuando vuelva a Monterrey

Muy buen lugar para pasar tiempo a solas con tu pareja, cuentan con 2 pequeñas salas, en una de ellas tienen capacidad como para 15 personas: 2 mesas para 2, una mesa para 6 y otra mesa para 5 personas.
Mi ticket fue de 1,500 incluida la propina en 2 medias pastas, 2 copas de vino y un corte de carne, el corte puede ser divido en dos platos para que cada quien coma su parte. Excelente atención de todo el personal, te hacen sentir muy bien.

Es un excelente lugar, ya que como es pequeño y hay muy pocas mesas el lugar es ideal para quienes queremos celebrar algo íntimo, ya que se vuelve muy especial, la comida deliciosa y el trato es excelente lo recomiendo ampliamente, sin duda volvería otra vez!
