Smart & Final Rosarito

My go to spot for hair cuts and facial trimming... Cozy and great staff. My friend Sunny may not speak alot of Spanish but his mastery transcends languages. His amiable place makes you feel welcomed.

The wait during quarantine wasn't insane, they have all the products they used to have prior to this lock down, they have more cashiers than Walmart. Also, they are checking your temperature and giving you hand sanitizer before you enter and start shopping. They placed a shade for waiting customers outside.

Nice staff...it helps to speak a little English.
The Most Important thing th know is they don't sell root beer here!!!😔

Great place to find those "Gringo" items you can't find anyplace else! Fast checkout, good service!

Update: post covid: masks are optional but thermometer and gel still in place if you wish to use.

Update Feb2024: All the gel and temperature checks are long gone. Still one of my MUST GO TO PLACES.

They always have this place stocked nice and the parking area is decent, maybe about 10 cars fit. The workers speak English and there is even an ATM inside, but you can always pay using a card. I love to get my favorite nacho cheese from First Street here and small hash browns.

Stayed in Rosarito for a week in a room with a kitchenette and I needed to stock up on snacks and drinks. I bought a bunch of stuff at Walmart and forgot my margarita mix and Controy, the latter of which is essential in order to make great margaritas. I stopped on the way back to my hotel at two different Calimax stores and they both had neither of what I was looking for. I knew the Smart & Final was still on the way back to the hotel and when I got there, they had both the mix and the Controy. I shop at the Smart & Final near my home and having one in Rosarito is super convenient.

Great place to shop if your in vacation and want the American stuff you are used to! Great prices.

This is my favorite store in Rosarito. I can find just about everything I want and the prices are very reasonable.

They were practicing excellent safety protocols and making sure people had masks on, hand sanitizers and they were wiping down the shopping carts... The parking is a little crowded because they're not able to allow so many people in the store at once but other than that they're doing a good job! 👍

Welcome to Smart & Final from the United States! The store is a smaller footprint than most of the United States models, but you can find many US products in this store. The staff and employees are very nice and helpful and the prices are better than what you will find in the local grocery stores. The caveat is the parking lot is very small, but thank goodness they have a person posted outside to help direct people in and out of parking spaces and watch over your car while you were shopping. Often those people working in the parking lots and watching your car while you were shopping in many of the stores in Rosarito, are volunteers . So be sure to give them a tip!

Way better than Calimax. They have better stuff and coffee! I would go to both if I was a local or staying for a week again. They have different things. CM has fresh cheese and tortillas.

I come in here for U.S brand stuff occasionally. And sometimes I use the Santander atm thats in the front of the store @ the entrance inside. Well, today 9/20/19 I used it and noticed the touchscreen had a bad lag. I cancelled my transaction after all, because theres a 5% markup plus the exchange rate was a low18 points, when my app has it well over 19 points. Anyhow, I pressed the decline button and got my card back. I proceeded to put my groceries away, and drove off. I came to another atm down the road and was declined for cash, that made me curious and I logged onto my online banking, only to see that I was being charged for the supposed withdrawal, back at the Smart n final Santander atm, even though I didnt get my cash!!!....oh he'll nah!...%*#!$@$×+-I called WF immediatly, and opened a claim. As I went on with my day, my gut told me to go back to smart n final, even though the wf rep said it would probably not help because the clerks cant help with the atm. I listened to my gut and went back. As I pulled up, the same crew who was there before, were standing at the entrance, and they seemed to reconize my car. The manager right away took me to his security room to show me what happened, after I walked away from the atm. This damn atm has about a 45 sec delay to give you the cash. My money came out after I walked away!! And they were able to save it, and give it to me once I claimed it. Wow!!! What honest people we have here at this store in Rosarito (playas). I couldnt thank them enough. I can't even be mad now, at the horrible charge of $45 dollars, to take out 5000 pesos😕😣

Close to home and great employees that really care and are very nice.

Best supermercado in Rosarito. Pretty good selection, helpful, friendly staff. You may want to take your own bags/boxes, as they are frequently out of both.

They have great selection of fresh vegetables and fruits. It is easy to get around the wide aisles.

They don't have everything you need like a grocery store does, but they have some american items you can't hardly find. Like captain crunch lol.
