El Panchan

We (family of 4) went for lunch. The service was very good. The only complaint about the food was pineapple on my octopus tacos that was not mentioned on the menu. That is about personal taste rather than quality, so I didn't mark down for that. The menu is extensive with even more options at dinner.

There was live music which we generally avoid because it is often too loud, but they got the volume right and it was nice.

Absolutely amazing, it's a big restaurant, huge operation and they pull it off quite well. Of course there are occasional mistakes but the staff is happy and they do everything they can. Live music, fire show. It's also Easter holiday so it's packed day and night, mostly with Mexicans so you got the local vibe. We've been staying here for 5 days now and probably gonna stay for a wee while. Not the cheapest in town but quality food, dinner is definitely better than breakfast.

Good food, nice atmosphere and location, very reasonable prices. The only restaurant far around with real bread. Pizza also good. Service a bit slow sometimes.

Excellent place to have dinner, listen to music, enjoy the fire show and acrobatic dance. Try home made pasta 🍝 and la selva pizza 🤘🏾🚀🍕

We ate here the nights. Great food. Awesome nightly entertainment. Lots of trinkets & jewelry for sale. Excellent prices. The area is quite unique, there are actually three restaurants & bar's - each had it's own music and theme. Great for kids and families. The main restaurant gets crowded so arrive early if you want to see the show.

Fantastic Steak and mushroom sauce, steak and red wine, Pollo Mole, Pescado a la veracruzana, ravioli, wine. Most of all awesome service and live music. Atmosphere is great! We have returned here several times!

This is one of the coolest spots I ever found and stayed at. Anywhere. It is a complex of hostels tucked away in the rain forest right next to the entrance of a national park. Inside this complex they have traditional hostels, camping grounds, restaurants, and gypsies selling jewelry and much much more. Definitely recommend a few nights here. STAY HERE!

Everything was great, good people trails and co.munity the deeper you go into the jungle. 3 restaurants, 2 bars. Tattoo guy. Peircing.fjre dancers. All you could want for a stimulating experience......but tanya.the restaurant manager. Is kinda of a evil witch. Beware her stare lol

very nice place to stay while you visit the area. really enjoyed the live music, fire shows and the amazing pizza they do. will definetly come back someday

Loved the atmosphere and drink , perhaps the best part was the fire danvers that I took plenty of video from them. only big issues in Palenque sitting in outdoor places is God damn mosquito!

El Panchan is a small village like community located in the middle of the jungle! There are several types of accommodations . We stayed in el jaguar which was a double room with private bathroom. There are no glass windows but mosquito nets so you could hear all animals at night (including howler monkey's and loads of birds) !
Don't expect high standards, but expect a very unpretentious creative atmosphere.
Their gem is that you are in the middle of the jungle which is truly unique!

Weird cool place, cabins are very sparce and not too comfortable but youre in the jungle and the people are kind and thats what matters.

Love the area. You're right in the jungle, there are a few restaurants, one of them owned by a German and they serve amazing Käsespätzle. Lots of places to sleep as well. Jungle palace is my favorite and I'd recommend it for a little adventure. There's also a tattoo guy that does it the traditional way. Never went to check him and his work out since we didn't have time. With colectivos you can easily get into Palenque centre (although, there's not much to see or to do) or to the ruins of Palenque.

El Pachan is an awesome place and a must do if you have a few days to spare in Palenque. If you stay overnight you definitely have to stay there. You stay in cabins in the middle of the jungle (there are different owners renting out cabins with more or less luxury) and there are 2 restaurants (maybe more but these are the ones I saw) to serve you some delicious food.

You can pay to have some Wifi access but try to enjoy the nature just like I did. The cabins are open but protected against mosquitos so you can hear the jungle noises at night before falling asleep.

Try the pizza's at Don Mucho's and beware of the cocktails at Chely's (very strong). From el Pachan you also have easy access by colectivo (minibus) to the ruins of Palenque and the center.

Good place to rest, in the night there are music and fire shows at the restaurant. When you're sleeping sometimes you can hear monkeys 😂 but the experience is good.

"Panchan" means Cielo or Heaven in Maya and it couldn't be closer to the truth. This is a hidden jungle paradise where the collective consciousness is alive and thriving abundantly. All young and ageless travelers with an open mind and heart should definitely pull through and stay awhile. They offer great food, awesome music, and you can get to know many amazing indigenous people who grew up near Lakam Ha (Palenque). I'm grateful for my time here and will come back.
