Silver Tree Guest House

I LOVED staying at Silver Tree Guest House. I had the privilege of staying in both their beautiful Gers and a room inside the house and both accommodations provided me with the best sleep I have had in a long time. Tamir and Agata have a wealth of knowledge about the local area and Mongolia and can signpost you to fantastic resteraunts, hikes and tourist spots. On top of that, they run the calligraphy centre which is a MUST visit. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This place is run by an artist couple Agata and Tamir. Occasionally you will find some volunteers there who are helping to restore the place. The bath is shared. Its 20mins walk from Monastery and Museum. Plenty of supermarkets around. While the place might appear not like a Guest House but rather a hostel, it’s comfortable and clean. I stayed here two nights and slept peacefully. I believe the Gers in the garden are more comfortable. More than that, you get to meet wonderful people and both Agata and Tamir are really warm and welcoming ! It felt like a home :)

Silver Tree is a unique place / concept combining Mongolian art and sustainable tourism. It pays respect to Mongolian tradition and art and is modern at the same time.

Run by an international artist family, the place is just as cool as its owners, Agata and Tamir. I was privilaged to be one of the first guests visiting the place and enjoyed every minute of my stay at the Silver Tree guesthouse and its wonderful atmosphere, its central location - I know, nobody walks in Mongolia - and the company of the hosts. Can't wait to be back, when in Mongolia!

I stayed in Silver Tree guest house for nearly two weeks and had a fantastic time there. The guest house is located conveniently in the centre of Kharkhorin, close to bus service, department store as well as historical and cultural attractions in town. I enjoyed meeting travellers around the world here, it has become one of the most memorable places I stayed during my travel.

Amazing location, amazing hosts, amazing concept.

Highly recommend to anyone visiting or passing by Kharkhorin. The Guest House is located right across the bus stop and the museum and the monastery are in walking distance.
Also highly recommend to visit the gallery. There is a big collection of local artists works. They also run art therapy section and show the works of their students.

P.s. Don't be afraid of the dogs, they are super friendly 😉

A well located and nice Guesthouse in an historic city of Mongolia. We had a wonderful time in Kharkhorin, the owners are really nice, I recommend it !!

Une maison vivante dans Karakorum ! L'art et les cultures se croisent, c'est un lieu de convivialité, de rencontre avec la calligraphie mongol, Tamir est un artiste talentueux !! Je suis arrivée en résidence d'artiste au Musée de la Calligraphie de Karakorum grâce à lui, et je l'en remercie sincèrement. Allez visiter le musée d'Erdenesiin Khuree, ça vaut le détour. Et profitez de rencontrer des personnes de coeur, ouvertes sur le monde. Merci Agata, Tamir et Victor leur petit garçon qui fait craquer tout le monde ;)

Silver Tree guesthouse, trois jours à Kharkhorin.
Accueil chaleureux, bonne ambiance, lieu agréable, tranquille et spacieux, petit-déjeuner copieux en commun à la table familial.
Deux chiens calmes et gentils, bien éduqués. Un cheval paisible dans la cour.
Polyglotte (français, anglais, polonais, russe, mongol). Très serviable et arrangeant.
Possibilité de dormir dans une yourte ou en chambre.
Eau chaude pour la douche, électricité, wifi, thé et fromages mongols.
Recommandé ! Nous reviendrons dans cette guesthouse si nous devions repasser par cette ville.

Nous sommes venus de France, nous avons fait un circuit en moto jusque dans le désert du Gobi et au retour nous avons passé deux nuits dans une yourte. C’était vraiment excellent. Le service était impeccable. La yourte très propre et très confortable dans un jardin clôturé et sécurisé, parfait pour notre moto. Donc après un long voyage, je pense que c’était pile ce qu’il nous fallait. Pouvoir dormir à l’aise, confortablement, ça soulage et ce fut relaxant! Aussi, ma femme étant végétarienne, elle était surprise et ravie de découvrir des plats végétariens dans le menu! De plus le personnel parle français et anglais. Un autre bon point, il y a aussi des petits commerces et un marché où l’on trouve de tout juste à coté. Je recommande vivement cet endroit! Merci Silver Tree!

Trop cher pour ce que nous avons eu. La yourte avait des trous assez grand pour que nous trouvions un chat dedans en rentrant de souper. Pour presque le même prix vous trouverez une chambre d'hôtel pas loin. De plus, la majorité des autres camps de yourte sont moins cher. Ma seule plainte est donc vraiment au niveau du prix.
Cependant l'hôte était extrêmement sympathique, pleine de bonne humeur et vous aide volontiers. L'ambiance est très bonne.
