Stepperiders

I had a couple of days free before heading to the Altai so came here and it was excellent. Easy to book through email and WhatsApp, great horses and people, and fine for people who have ridden a lot or are beginners. Would definitely use again.

My wife and I did a four night tour to and from Hustai National Park and we had one of the best experiences we've ever had. It was challenging for me, riding 30-40 km a day, my wife is quite a bit more experienced than me. I do like challenges though and this was exactly what I wanted after 2 years of city living in Korea.

Our three person team, led by Rinston, prepared everything for us and always consulted us to make sure we were up to all the tasks. We will definitely consider going back and riding with stepperiders in the future.

Note, as some of the reviews talked about, we also were scammed by someone that hacked into our email thread and we had to get our money back from our bank. Bottom line, talk to their rep, Anujin, on Whatsapp to avoid the scam.

My boyfriend and I did six days of solo trek training at Stepperiders in late May and then rented three horses along with all the gear - the facility is great, the food is delicious, the training is extremely useful, and the staff are so friendly and helpful! I would highly recommend for their solo trek training, and I know their guided treks are great too though we didn't go on one ourselves. Great company, chill horses, wonderful people. Thanks Nathalie, Dudu, Mende, and the rest of the Stepperiders crew for being so awesome!

I have just returned from a 5 day horse trek in Mongolia with steppe riders.
I would highly recommend Stepperiders for their wonderful hospitality, safe horses and excellent business. We were picked up at UB airport and taken straight into the countryside for the horse ride of our lives. This company makes horse riding in Mongolia very accessible. All the staff were great and so very friendly. We really had a great time.

Great place for tours and probably the only place in Mongolia that gives solo trek training. They prepared us for a two week trek alone. They taught us just about all we needed and rented us good horses and gear.

My sister and I took a private 5-day camping trip with the Stepperiders in 2010. It was one of the most fun rides. We spent a couple nights with a Mongolian family in their ger and also had a tent for camping. Young people were our guides (we're two old ladies) and we had a blast! Don't expect luxury, but expect fun! The before and after hospitality was also a true glimpse into the life of Mongolians.

I had one of the most amazing trips with Stepperiders! The staffs are very friendly and helpful, they made the entire trip so enjoyable. If you like horse riding and some wild adventures I'd recommend Stepperiders:)

Great Atmosphere 100% reccomend as a getaway vacation either by yourself or accompinied. Temu was a sweetheart ❤.

Plusieurs points négatifs pour stepperiders :
- Celui-ci n'est pas de leur faute mais ATTENTION!!! Leur boîte mail a été piratée, j'ai moi même été victime d'une arnaque qui m'a coûté cher, donc prenez absolument contact avec eux par téléphone/WhatsApp pour tout vos échanges et encore plus les éventuels acomptes
- Aucun des membres de la société n'a souhaité que je leur donne des informations concernant le compte frauduleux qui les a piratés, pour éviter d'éventuelles récidives
- Les treks sont certes très beaux, mais toujours un peu survendus. Jamais de gros mensonges, mais on a quand même souvent l'impression que l'on nous vends du Formidable, pour finalement avoir de l'acceptable.
Ceci dit, l'ambiance et la nourriture sur le camp de base sont très bonnes, et l'option trek solo après quelques jours d'entraînement paraît être une très bonne expérience !
Pour ce qui est des treks encadrés, l'expérience peut sûrement être intéressante si vous recherchez un peu de confort ou une toute première expérience de découverte à cheval pas trop intensive, mais si vous savez monter et que vous cherchez l'aventure, vous pourrez trouver des choses beaucoup plus authentiques et beaucoup beaucoup moins chères avec des guides locaux, dans des guesthouses etc.. en vous éloignant un peu plus d'oulanbator

The worst experience I have ever had. Stay away. Overpriced and do not deliver what is promised to you, even if you have a written agreement.

Was supposed to work as a volunteer. Had a written agreement with Anujin, which turned out to be worthless and just lies and false promises. Which also seems to be the case for guests on horse treks plus for solo trekkers. Extra costs popping up, "change of plans" etc. It is even suspected some customers are scammed for a big amount of money, having to pay both before arrival and at arrival.

The staff working there are amazing people that do their best, but changes in leadership after covid (?) is about to ruin the place, in addition to several people's holidays. The situation is very sad.

I had an overall very bad experience with stepperiders and I discourage people to go there, especially if you want to do a solo trek or to go on an organized tour ( private guides or hostels like the golden gobi in UB will have much better options for way cheaper ). Local tour guides ( lots of recommendations on the facebook groups) will be able to help you organize a solo horse trek at a much lower price and with better service.

In a few lines: The team is very young, unorganized and not professional. They will try to overcharge you on every little detail and add new fees at the last minute. Except the main manager they don’t speak English at all. The bathroom and toilets were filthy.
Some of the horses were not in shape, scars on some of them on their back where the saddle sits. The rest of the horses seemed pretty healthy.
It seems like they mainly care about the money.
