La Kasbah du Paradis

We stayed here as a family of 8 in May 2024. We drove from Essouira which in itself was breathtaking but it can be very daunting due to the heights, isolation and turns in the mountain roads. To get here simply follow google maps or a location the co-host Hassan sends you.

The house itself is very cosy and picturesque with beautiful Mountain Views. The co-host Hassan is very polite and helpful and has good local knowledge and basic English to get by. The house does have Wi-Fi but it’s not the fastest and coverage is passable.

If you’re going to stay here MAKE SURE you bring cash as none of the local business except card and you’ll find yourself stuck. The nearest ATM is over an hour away on turning mountain roads so dont get caught out.

The local Souq (market) from my knowledge runs on a Sunday and maybe one other day during the week. Local shops sell basics like bread, milk and eggs plus snacks.

Staying here was a very unique and amazing experience for us and we will definitely look to stay here again.

Le Kasbah du Paradis truly lives up to its name: it provides exceptional hospitality under the care of its host Hassan amidst the picturesque landscapes of Aksri.

We were treated to delicious homecooked meals by Hassan’s wife, as well as to a beautiful guided walk by our host to a nearby waterfall, which still remains secluded and unspoilt by mass tourism for the time being. Hassan’s warm welcome and genuine hospitality, combined with a love and knowledge of the area, made our stay very memorable.

The Kasbah itself is a marvel, offering stylish large rooms in a peaceful setting among Aksri mountains. The décor, colour scheme and cacti plants of the Kasbah reminded us of the Jardin Majorelle, but without the large crowds. The pool in the middle of the Kasbah offers a welcome refreshment from a long morning walk and there are many nooks and crannies to relax at the end of the day.

The surrounding area is a paradise for walkers with many hiking trails nearby. It also makes for a good base to go to the seaside of the nearby Vallée du Paradis.

We will definitely return there for a longer stay!

Een ludieke verrassing in het midden van waanzinnig gebied. Deze kleurrijke Kasbah is een unieke parel en zeer vriendelijke gastheer. In deze hele omgeving is, behalve Paradise Valley, geen tourisme terwijl het een magische regio is. De bergen, het groen, je kijkt je ogen uit. De weg hier naartoe vanuit essouira is bovenal de moeite waard, al helemaal als je met een motor of camper reist. De wegen zijn goed en de uitzichten fenomenaal. Hassan is zeer vriendelijk, zeer behulpzaam en deed extra zijn best om alles comfortabel te maken voor onze 9 weken oude baby. Een hidden gem. Snachts zitten er wel veel vliegen in de kamer dus een vliegenmepper zou het verblijf nog fijner maken.

Vrai petit coin de paradis !

Un havre de paix dans les montagnes, la Kasbah du Paradis porte vraiment bien son nom.

On devait rester une nuit on y est resté six !

Chambre très confortable, piscine délicieusement arborée, et spéciale remerciements pour les repas...
On a jamais aussi bien mangé, frais et fait maison bien-sûr !

Die Küche bietet jeden erdenklichen Komfort!

Un havre de tranquillité et de beauté. Riad niché au milieu des oliviers et des arganiers. La piscine et ses murs bleus est hypnotique. Hassan s'en occupe à la perfection et son épouse cuisine des délicieux tagines. Douche chaude et chauffage en hiver. A deux pas de la vallée du Paradis. Je recommande absolument !

Prachtige verblijfplaats in een heel mooie streek. Ideaal voor wandelaars! Grote gastvrijheid, alles geschilderd in Majorelle kleuren. Ruime kamers met alle nodige voorzieningen.
