Cenas bog trail

Was there at 7 am on a Wednesday and was the only person there. Absolutely gorgeous, and no sound but birds. The path is about 6km long - plan on 1.5 hours to walk the whole loop. The boardwalk is in great shape. Worth a visit in the winter, too, but the path is slippery in spots.

Want to calm and enjoy the nature? This place is exactly for that. Take a walk, take a deep breath of fresh air, listen birds singing. Cenu walking path is not so busy as another most popular Ķemeru lielā tīreļa taka. The is also possibility to take a SUP board trip on the lake, but is must be ordered separately. There is no possibility to order it on site. I recommend to visit this place.

Nice place to clear your mind and have some walk. There is some informative material about the swamp. If you want to take your time when visiting there are some benches to sit on and relax.
Was here at the start of the summer. Very beautiful place this is in the summertime, the lakeside is something to behold, really breathtaking.

Nice place for a family walk on a swamp trail

Back to nature! There’s a wooden road to walk on that goes through the forest makes ,takes a turn and you come back. It’s about 6-7 km so it’s a good option for those who would like to go for a ling walk or a run in fresh air. Moreover, the place has a variety of plants of course according to the season for those who are interested in plants and would like to see them in nature.
Be careful though while walking on the wooden road as it can get quite slippery.

Amazingly beautiful hiking trail through the peat bog (swamp) over a wooden road. Takes around 1:30h for the full circle. But it worth it!

Beautiful bog trail. When I came there were little indications on the road, so Google Maps was my saviour. The real bog trail starts once you pass the trail near the large peat (kūdra) field. On hot days anti-imsext spray will come in handy

Great trail for walking. Hard to cycle or with baby. Best time to visit - working hours, as there will be less people attending. There are no recycle bins, so take your trash with you.

Place is highly recommended for those who are tired of hyped Latvian trails / attractions. Pretty unknown place, near by the locally popular Laci baking house (btw. nice place to eat after long walk).

The road is renewed. Very unusal due its direct neighboring with the active peat farm. Never seen one before. Looks like a brown fields of peace where nothing is growing, except few tractors ;)

The road has to main destinations and goes round for some of its length (starting from a two way path along peat fields, splitting up into a circle. Unsure of length, but the circle feels like 5km, while the road to it around 1km.

The points of interest are the watching tower (not high, but enough for surrounding area overview) and the beautiful – super chill lake spot, with benches and pier.

Sadly, there is no possiblity to dive there, even though the water seems crystal clear!

I highly recommend this place as a destination for a lazy weekend, go out, explore unknown! :)

5-6 km long pathway through Cenas swamp. At half way there's watch tower you can climb. Nice place to see birds and plants.
Place reminds of game Witcher 3, feels like drowner is going to jump out of water.

Great walk in the nature, beautiful scenery. Advise to come here in work days as incredibly busy and popular on weekends

Amazing nature, fresh air, close to Riga, parking and "natural" facilities are available.

A longer walk than in Ķemeri bogs but it's also surrounded by trees for half the way. Two observation points, 2 tables for picnic. Also a peat field at the start.

One of best places to take a deep breath of nature. About 6km walk.

6km of variable landscape. There are two viewing platforms. Pathway is renovated and easy to follow. In summer or winter lake Skaista is a great place to skate or swim. There few resting places along lake shore right by the path so you do not need to go into swamp to access lake.

Good place for walks near Riga.
