Worth a half day trip from Riga for €3 return on the train. We took the train to the furthest station and then walked back to the closer station which took about an hour. We walked along the beach but also saw two beautiful Russian churches.

Nice beach on the Baltic sea. When we were there people where playing football and volleyball as there are facilities for both. The beach is long and nice and sandy. Lots of people sunbathing and lots of places to buy food and drinks.

The beach, which offers stunning views of the Baltic Sea, spans for roughly 33 kilometers along the Gulf of Riga. The soft, white sand and the surrounding pine forests create a peaceful atmosphere.
The beach is well-maintained and generally clean, overall cleanliness standards are usually upheld. Generally speaking,The water at Beach is clean and swimming-friendly. The Baltic Sea water can be a bit cold.
There are numerous cafes, pubs, and restaurants situated along the shore. Additionally, there are restrooms, changing rooms, and lifeguards posted at particular beach areas.
Beach is a wonderful vacation spot for families. Children can safely play in the shallow waters close to the shore. Playgrounds and dedicated play places are available.

Jurmala is a Very nice beach and place. You Can make long walks and relax. They are lot of restaurants. The area is very clean and in the season it is very popular. The best way to go there from Riga its by train.

We had a good surprise during our day trip here. I appreciated that this beach is really clean, that there are public toilets everywhere and there are also many trash cans.
This beach could be an example for every post communist country.

Love this place as it's clean, calm and unique. During the winter it's not that crowded, even on weekends. The main stroll alley is full of coffeeshops, bars and restaurants. Hotels and spa are also available. However, many businesses have closed. Probably due to the COVID pandemic. You can feel the post-soviet vibe, but it does good to this place. Wondering how it looks during summer. Maybe one day will come back to find out.

It is a beautiful beach. The beach is pretty long so you could have a walk. We spent a whole day here, we had a lot of fun here. There are a lot of cafes here where to enjoy some different types of coffee. I would recommend going in the summer. You will have more fun at that time.

Only about 30-35 minutes from Riga by train and you're by the Baltic sea. Very peacefull place to be and just take life easy. The town of Jurmala is also very cosy, with many cafees and beautiful baltic houses. Will recommend to take a day trip here if you're visiting Riga!

The sunset in Jurmala beach is amazing. It’s just a short drive from Riga, takes about half an hour to reach Jurmala by car or you can also take the train from Riga to Jurmala and you can enjoy the beautiful sunset on the beach and relax. It was a beautiful experience.

Good vibe place with positive emotions as well. Long beach pedestrian path with many bars and restaurants.
Bike tours are welcome too

Great place to spend a few hours just walking along the sea.

You can get to the place from the city of Riga:
1. By bus (2.3 euros round trip)
2. By train (3 euros round trip)
3. By taxi (14-20 euros one way trip)

There are also some cafes nearby.

Definitely one of the experiences i wont forget in latvia. I decided to go on a one man journey to the beach in search of content and i ended up forgetting about the content and decided to be the content 😂. The mood was amazing, the beach is sooooo long that it gives space to everyone to find where to install themselves.
The water was clean i would say and there a multiple pubs around where you can get a drink but it will be great if more changing rooms where made available to avoid people standing in a queue just to have a change of cloths.
If you are not a fan of crowded areas then this place is not for you. But if you have no issues with crowded areas then i will highly recommend you visit this place.
For a more peaceful beach, i would recommend vecaki beach.

We went to Jurmala Beach in September on our back from the bog walk. It's a really nice and clean beach when we visited. The beach was completely empty because of the cold weather. During this season none of the restaurants were open but you can still use the restroom or change if you dare to jump into the water.

Really big. We came here just before sunset! The gulf is very peaceful. I flew drone here. But lots of mosquitoes at night. A lot!! My kid had swelling. But the beach and the sea are perfect! Jurmala city is also beautiful. There are many luxury apartments and villas.

Very interesting place, fresh air, cafes and just simply benches you can find here. This is a good escape from Riga for everyone who wants to forget about concrete jungle and have a eyes relaxation watching seaview in Jurmala. Don't waste your time, take a cab here and have a great time on a beautiful sand walk.

Very nice and lengthy beach and and beautiful woods on the other side. Nice to take a walk along the beach on a sunny day. There are restaurants, cafes and WCs along the beach. Totally loved it.
