Cottage of Rainis and Aspazija

Small, but nice museum - extremely well preserved - it combines really historic artifacts with modern ways of displaying the interesting life of the couple! Totally worth visiting!

Nice and comfy museum, a literal (literary?) travel in time, to the more civilized times of the 1900-1910. Rainis looks likes a cross over between an hobbit, a romantic poet and a socialist like Bernard Shaw

Hier werden die Möglichkeiten eines Literaturmuseums in Perfektion vorgeführt. Jeder Raum bietet neue Überraschungen, wie sich Literatur vermitteln lässt. Biographie und Werk kommen hier gleichermaßen zu ihrem Recht - und das in einer Konzentriertheit und Zugänglichkeit, die ich noch nirgends anders gesehen habe. Es sind nicht viele Räume, es verlangt nicht viel Zeit - und trotzdem bin ich noch selten reicher beschenkt worden von einer Ausstellung als dieser hier.
