A wide variety of local food at very reasonable prices. Excellent value for money. A great initiative by the Department of Agriculture. Parking available on the roadside. Ample seating space. There's a toilet but not super clean, which is as expected. There's a shop to buy fresh fruits and soursop juice. A very useful stopover along the Nuwara Eliya road.

Famished from our hike of ramboda falls. We were so happy to see this food stall just a few minutes away from ramboda falls. We got to know from our driver that these pocket friendly stalls run by d department of agriculture helps women empowerment. Basically different cooks have 2 to 3 items freshly made right there by them on sale. Fresh food which was yummy and so reasonable. We saw no compromise on quality. Stalls were neat n clean. Everything was being prepared in a hygienic atmosphere. We came across Hela Bojun stalls in Nuwara Eliya too. A great option for us vegetarians especially.

A good place to take short eats while you are travelling to Nuwara Eliya. Prices are also fair.

There were 36 different traditional food varieties offered by them when I was visited in March 2022.

One of the best places to have a good meal on the way to Nuwara Eliya. This place is special since it offers traditional Sri Lankan food. The food quality is certified by the Agriculture department. The prices are very reasonable. There's enough parking space available.
Highly recommended

Great place to stop by if you are driving to Nuwara Eliya via Ramboda. It is located in a very nice place where you have ample parking by the main road.
All the foods are non-veg and very local. You will not find rice and curry here but all the home grown, healthy food. Not only food but you can find herbal drinks too.
Prices are very affordable you can take away too. I would mark this place as a must try. Specially if you are not a local.
Remember: this place is crowded during the weekends and they accept cash-only

One of best location to try traditional food in Sri Lanka without any-type of added chemical and used palm oil.

Everything they cook with clean ingredients and care. Open kitchen is good concept to show everyone how it is done.

There are many types of traditional food, it varies from sweet to savor and hot. Customer care is good yet most of them are not fluent in english as they are local women.

Parking space is medium, well ventilated with natural wind and also toilets are available there is charge of 10/= Rupees which is reasonable, for cleaning purpose. I recommend to anyone for trying this great place for a quick snack or heavy meal.

Lots of things to choose from all inexpensive, Rs. 20-50 range. I would recommend the Dosa which comes with some veg curry and a spicy but delicious coconut chutney. I didn't like the lime juice, was very salty.

Super Local Breakfast: We stopped here at about 6:45 am on Saturday 30th March 2019 on our way from Kandy to Horton Plains. Breakfast was already in full swing and not crowded as we were early birds. Plenty of choices with good quality and cheap prices makes it a must stop. Toilets are squatting type and later around 7:15 am crowds increased making queue for toilets. Cool weather makes toilet demand high and finish it at your earliest.

Ideal place to have a delicious hot meal at a very reasonable price in Nuwra Eliya. Traditional Sri Lankan delicacies including Hoppers, Rotties, Pittu and many more. Polos cutlets is a must to try out.
Parking just in front of the Food court adjoining the Central Market.
The Place closes at 6.45 pm However most food items will run out by 5.30.
