Matara Rest House Hotel

I visited Matara Rest House for lunch buffet with my wife and we had a wonderful time. The menu had a variety of dishes to choose from, but we decided to order the rest house special fried rice and the pork macaroni. The fried rice was served with a tasty chicken drumstick sauce and a spicy chili paste. It was a generous portion that we shared between us. The pork macaroni was also very delicious, with a rich tomato sauce and tender meat. The food was fresh, hot, and flavorful.

The service was excellent, too. The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. They made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us regularly. The atmosphere was cozy and elegant, with a nice view of the sea. We enjoyed the music and the decor, too.

We had a great dining experience at Matara Rest House and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality meal in Matara. It is one of the best places to eat in the city and we will definitely come back again.

We went there for dinner, food was really great and the portions were quite reasonable. Prices are generous and unbelievable. They're spread was good. Lovely atmosphere. Greatly enjoyed.

The place and food is okay. But the restroom was bit tidy as well as in the dinning area there were some kittens romining around which I dislike. Other than that food and service good.

I went there with my friends for a coffee. Nice atmosphere. We did not order any food, so I cannot comment on that. It was a nice and clean place to have a chat with people.

Great place to relax and get some food. The service was nice and the food was nice. The portion sizes were pretty good too. Definitely recommend going here if you’re looking for a place to rest a little after a long drive. They have nice chairs out at the front and on the side. Highly recommend! 🙌

We went there for dinner with a group of friends and the service provided by the rest house staff was excellent 👍 Indeed food was fine too. Loved the cozy vibe of the rest house which was clearly mingled with a touch of historical elegance.

Great service, Staff is very friendly and quick service. great foods. Specially I like Thai rice.you can't bring your own booze from out side.they have beer and hard liquor both.and great value for money.they have enough parking space. Wash rooms are clean. decent place & I recommend this place.

Nice and clam place in front of matara beach. The person who served us was very kind and attentive. There is a lot of antiques which are from the Dutch rule I think. There was no fan for the tables outside the main dining hall and that's the only thing I disliked.

Great place! Nice and calm atmosphere with a nice relaxing music in the background. Clean and tidy. This place has got great improvements since my last visit. Keep it up 👆

Great place , but the food aint good as it seems over prices but good customer service , really appreciate the boys

This is a place with good food and a great customer service. But if you are looking for a great overall experience in terms of views and beauty of the location, this might not be the place. Families are welcomed here as well. Ideal for a group of friends who are looking for a place to have a chat while sipping a beer. Food is not upto the highest standards but very good and delicious.
