Police Station Ragama

One of the very few police department (if not the only one) who does the job for the clients well and with some respect. I went to get a police report and an officer explained things in a friendly manner and was eager to get things without A DELAY for the people who were waiting. They even gave receipts with the dates written on them about when to come back to check the situation. A Great service.

Another excellent operation by the Ragama Police ...... Four robbers who had entered a supermarket in Ragama last night had stolen electrical appliances and luxury items worth nearly Rs. 500,000. Ragama OIC Chief Inspector Buddhika Rajapaksa and OIC of the Crimes Division Asela Perera on the instructions of Kelaniya SSP Roshan Dias and ASP Prarasannada Silva. Upananda police constables 78997 Perera, 79574 Sadun, 88617 Hennayake police constable driver 89613 Kumara were able to find the four robbers and all their belongings within two days. The four suspects are residents of Ragama, Batuwatta, Kelaniya and Gampola areas and were remanded for 14 days after being produced before court. It's quite a wait here. Everyone is busy. I suppose that should be expected at a police station. Nevertheless the environment is usually unfriendly and inefficient .
