Dad's Holiday Home

We stayed just one night before one of hikes in Knuckles. Here rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with basic facilities. Bathroom was clean and spacious. One water bottle was provided. AC was working and worth for price. We didn’t had their food since we checked in late night and checked out in early morning.

Had a really nice stay in the 6 person family room. Very spacious two double beds and two single beds were there. The owner is very friendly and approachable. The number is the one on here in Google maps. They lock the place at night for security. But open up with a single call. They had forgotten to give us towels but when we requested it took them only about 39 seconds to bring us several towels to our room.

Last visited Jan 2020. A home away from home. Managed and maintained by Ranjan and family. From time of the booking to departure it was awesome experience, the family is as accommodation as him. Very private place, and purpose built. Got the big room with balcony. Comfortable bed with TV that actually works. It was hot days in Matale and the AC was a blessing. Bathroom has instant hot water and it was very clean so was the towels. Highly recommended if you have kids to go there its a family friendly place. Inside the rooms its very silent so you can have a peaceful rest.

Since we were in and out we couldn't have a proper mean there, but from we did food is good. The price is absolutely worth it..

Follow google to the place, bcz it was a quick turnoff from the main road. Day time no issue finding it may be in the night little difficult.

Cons : Bathrooms are not sound proof, may be bcz the exhaust is thru-and-thru.

The rooms were clean and nice, the owner is superb, you pay the price for accommodation and that's it, we paid no extra fees, he even brought us beer from local shop with no extra charge. He helped us with anything we asked, from telling us where to shop, what prices to pay, he arranged tuktuk to take us to knuckles for very reasonable price with no surcharge, laundry service etc. Restaurant with reasonable prices and great food, we enjoyed the Sri Lanka breakfasts very much. One of very few landlords that does honest business and doesn't try to make money on everything. We had very nice chat with him and learned a lot about Sri Lanka. Definitely recommended.

We stayed one night and the place is superb .Excellent cleanliness ,very tasty hot and newly prepared food with very reasonable price .The owner is a very friendly gentleman .

Foods are quite expensive compaired to the place. You can find many local food shops in Matale town, which is around 5mins away from this place.

The owner + manager, was very kind and supportive.
We came without a booking out of no where, but he managed to settle us in just 20 mins!

Stayed here in March 2018 while I was visiting Matale for the first time on my own. The accommodation is clean and comfortable with fantastic hospitality by Ranjan. Only ate breakfast during my 3 night stay and the breakfast offerings were vast from traditional roti to omelettes. Defintely will return to Dad's on my next visit to Matale.

Dad’s Holiday Home is a quite modern well maintained private hotel which is a minute away from main road of Matale..very safe peaceful environment and neighborhood. Friendly courteous attentive staff.prompt service.delicious food.clean room and bathroom.comfortable Family rooms are also available.we enjoyed and rested very well.Highly recommended for a good peaceful stay.
