Holy Cross Church - Kalutara South | සිරිකුරුස දේවස්ථානය - කළුතර දකුණ

A Roman Catholic church situated in the heart of Kaluthara town area. Parking available, can be accessed via vehicle by the road Infront of the ladies convent college. Not too crowded during weekdays. Church is closed most of the time but father allows to open doors on request even though we are not catholics. Highly recommend place to have your mind relaxed.

If you are driving from Colombo to Kaluthara, you can see the Holy cross church on your left side after passing the Kaluthara Bodiya. This is a beautiful church; built on a small summit. Roman Catholic devotees come here for blessing.

Old church Located in Kalutara Main City Limit. Church built in 1835 and dedicated to Holy Cross of Jesus. Church has the Relic of Holy Cross. Apart from the Church feast in September, Community celebrates the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes in the old grotto located in front of the church premises. Lourdes feast is also old morethan 100 years and celebrates as a kalutara deanery feast. Church community isnt much bigger.
