Windloft Retreat

Our recent stay at Windloft Retreat in Delthota was truly exceptional. The hotel offers a breathtaking view of the mountains and delightful cold weather, creating a serene atmosphere for a perfect retreat. The staff was not only friendly but also incredibly welcoming, making our stay truly memorable. The delicious food served was not only a treat to the taste buds but also reasonably priced. It truly felt like a great escape from the busy world. Additionally, having good network coverage was a bonus, allowing us to stay connected when needed. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway. 🏞🌬🍽

Windloft Retreat and it’s breathtaking views and comforting climate were exactly what we needed for the vacation.
Staff were friendly and polite, specially Avishka was really attentive to guests and helpful. Service was excellent. Food was also good and reasonably priced.
The view and the soothing and calm atmosphere just one hour drive from Kandy is unbelievably amazing.
Only thing is the road from Delthota to the hotel is not in a good condition. Better inquire from the hotel beforehand if you are coming by a car.

Had a amazing time. The staff was very attentive and always made sure our stay was comfortable. The food was delicious. Kids enjoyed the game room ( chess/ snooker / table foot ball). The hike was amazing.
Visited during Sinhala/ Tamil new year, a space was offered to celebrate the new year games as well.
Natural pool was a bit dried up due to dry weather which was informed to us before our arrival ( before placing the booking ).
I would recomend a four wheel drive to the location and a slow drive in a car with less ground clearance.

I swear, this location is like heaven on earth.surrounded by trees and mountains. It's an amazing sight.This location has such a peaceful, calm vibe.The perfect spot to get away from everything .We did a hike to the small hilltop there.God, that view is breathtaking. We spent three days and two nights there.In 2024, we are the first clients.On January 1st, they got Kiribath ready for us 😊.Food is delicious and amazing. The room is really tidy and clean.The staff is incredibly friendly. I am grateful for Mr. Yasas's exceptional service. Without a doubt, we will go back there.

we recently stayed at windloft retreat in Delthota-Kandy, and it was awesome. The moutain view is spectacular and amazing. You can enjoy nice and beautiful sumsets and sun rises.

They got you covered with double rooms, triple rooms and family rooms as well. Rooms are very spacious and clean. The atmosphere was very calm and soothing. There is a gaming room as well, you can play billiards, chess, carrom or cardgames(pls bring your own card pack) You can really enjoy and relax at this beautiful place.
Staff there is really nice and helpful. The food was very yummy and the potion was good.

Overall, we had a fantastic time at Windloft Retreat. I would recommend it to anyone who are looking forward to get a little break from their busy lifestyles.

It was such a super marvelous experience to us. Situated on a hilltop, this place has a very beautiful surrounding. Clouds and wind create a different feeling.
The room, cleanliness, ventilation are all excellent.
The food is very delicious. It was much better than expected. Very friendly staff provided excellent service. A small part of the road was a little rough, but it was not a big problem. This incredible place can be highly recommended without any problem.

Amazing Location surrounding beautiful mountains. Truly Windloft and what breathtaking atmosphere.
I was really impressed with the view. It is kind of a isolated heaven very cold weather.
Resident manager “Yasas” is giving very polite service and other staff members also providing good services.
Only concern is about hot water geyser which are having less capacity.
Overall I am happy with this hotel and it’s foods

Super friendly staff and super clean rooms. If you are a beginner of hiking this is the ideal place. The view is amazing. Wonderful place to watch sunset and sunrise. Friendly staff. Special thanks should be given to the Manager, Mr. Yasas, who even bothered to give us few calls to guide us to the premises which I never experienced before. Even upgraded our rooms which is super amazing…!!! If you have a vehicle with a ground clearance and expect to experience picturesque views for the nature, this is the place for you…!!! Highly recommended

Super friendly staff and super clean rooms. Special thanks should be given to the Manager Yasas who was very helpful from Colombo until we leave the hotel. He called us and guided us and it was something we never expected. Very friendly and active staff who catered us very well.

The most mesmerizing thing about this hotel is the sunset and the sunrise.. it was really soothing. Chilled climate and this is the ideal place to relax from all the busy town vibes. Hoping to coming back soon and I highly recommend this place to anyone!! ❤🙏

Staff, place, food & the view is superb!! Enjoyed our stay to the fullest. Have no words to express my gratitude to the manager Mr. Yasas & the team for their service. Such a friendly staff!! Cleanliness is at the highest level. One of the best places for hiking and to witness sunset & sunrise. Highly recommend the place.

Love this place! It’s scenic inside out including the washroom, windy and peaceful away from hustle and bustle. The staff are very warm and welcoming shoutout to the manager Yasas he makes sure to go above and beyond to make the stay better. Their food hands down 10/10. I’ve been here twice and will come back again. Make sure you get to this place well before sunset as their is a very short climb with rocky road other than that highly recommend for families and kids.

You must visit this place to experience it first hand. They also have their own viewpoint which is a very small hike uphill from the hotel.

If anyone is reading this review and you want to visit the Windloft retreat, you have to be okay with the following:
1. The roads towards Deltota and uphill are not great. You need a vehicle that can make it to the top. That being said, my tiny wagonR made it to the top with only the luggage weight.
2. They have rules in place. All for good reason. It helps them maintain the place in very good condition.

I would definitely visit again!

We had the most amazing time at the Windloft Retreat. It's one of those rare places where the location and the views, the team and the food come together to make an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we made the inquiry the Manager, Yasas was extremely helpful. Yasas has a great personality and we felt was the ideal person to run this resort. The rest of his team was also amazing. In terms of the location, it's surrounded by beautiful hills and has the most breathtaking views.The rooms were very well maintained and we loved waking upto amazing views in the morning. There are also several hikes around the area which you should definitely try if thats your thing. The food and the flavours were spot on. I personally enjoy Sri Lankan food so most of the options we tried were Sri Lankan food. All in all it was a wonderful experience and we can't wait to go back!!

Great place to relax away from busy schedules. The room was clean and the food was really tasty. The staff is really friendly and helpful especially the manager Yasas was really helpful for us. The only minus point is the access road. Need a high ground clearance vehicle. Other than that highly recommend this place.

This hotel is one of the most underrated placed I have visited. It should get more visitors. I am glad I visited this place. It was like a once in a lifetime opportunity. Great location. Great place to take pictures with family and friends with that amazing background. The pictures here speak for itself. The road is a bit bad but, most roads up to mountain top hotels are like that IMO. A great place for a group to visit and have a blast. Locations nearby include the Victoria and Randenigala dams and Mandaramnuwara. Great staff, great food, clean and comfy rooms. All great.
