A very scenic location. This place is too riskier to enjoy of having bath. The rocks are too slippery and the end is too steep. At the time we visited, the water was too dirty since the villagers had thrown dirt to the water. The view is so beautiful but Personally not recommening due to the unclean and risky environmental.

Incredibly scenic drive via Selagama Estate followed by a short walk along a paved road to reach this picturesque two-tiered waterfall. No tickets or prior permission required. It is very quiet and has very few visitors. Only the top of the waterfall can be reached via the Selagama Estate. Provides stunning landscape views of the surrounding mountains. Rocks can be very slippery and falling off the drop will be life threatening. So take care if you ever visit here and please do not litter this beautiful location.

This waterfall reminds me of Sera Ella in Matale District due to their caves behind the waterfalls. This also offers a nice view of a mosaic of paddy fields.

We were at top of the ella. Quiete fascinating. And the view is so good. Its breath taking. After a bath your whole body is getting freshen up. I am not sure the healthy Ness of the water since its coming through a tea state, might be mixed with chemicals

To reach this waterfall, you have to take the small by-road that originates from the gate of Selagama Tamila Maha Vidyalaya. After walking for about 5 minutes, you will pass a small bridge, which runs over the water stream that feeds Biso Ella. This water stream is relatively small, hence during the dry season, the waterfall almost dries up.

Biso Ella Falls – බිසෝ ඇල්ල
This 4 meter tall Yatawatta Biso Ella Falls in the Selagama Tea Estate in Matale District.  The water falls in a thin wail almost disappearing at the bottom of this waterfall creating mystic outlook.
Selagama can be reached from either Kurunegala or Matale. From Kurunegala, travel towards Dambulla up to Thalgodapitiya Junction and turn to Yatawatta road. The total distance is about 40km. To travel form Matale, you need to turn off at Palathwela to reach Yatawatta. From  Yatawatta, take the road towards Selagama estate.
