Very happy with the service of Kings Rent a Car! They support you on the local drivers license, bring the car to your location, are on time and very responsive. The car was brand new and I drove to many places in Sri Lanka. Having a reliable car with unlimited mileage was important for me and this company delivers. Recommend them fully for self-driving in Sri Lanka.

One of the reason for Our entire trip’s success is Kings Rent A Car. Right from the time in enquiry till the car was delivered back to them, they managed the entire process in a professional way. Even though the original car that we booked was cancelled for some reason they made good by providing a brand new car which was well suited for our requirements. Supun who coordinated with us, was wonderful and helped us throughout the process and inspite is us giving the details in the last minute for the Driving license endorsement, he came through. I would love to refer my friends and would highly recommend them if you are planning a road trip in Sri Lanka.

Seamless professional service. The booking process was simple and they arranged Sri Lankan drivers licence for my husband. Really great service. Very good responsiveness helped us to organize everything before our arrival. We rented a car for 2 weeks and had zero issues. Car was almost new in really good condition. Had a really good trip in Sri Lanka with a reliable and comfy car from this car rental agency. Got to know about them through a friend who had used their service earlier.

Booking process: Contacted through whatsapp chatbox linked in their website. Our POC was Mr. Supun. The reply was prompt and very professional. Booked a Toyota Vitz automatic for 9 days. Paid a token money of $50 online to confirm my booking. The rest was to be paid (cash/card) while taking delivery of the car. To drive in Sri Lanka you will need your IDP endorsed by the Srilankan authorities. I got my IDP endorsed through this agency without any hassle.

Delivery: We opted for delivery at the CMB airport at 03:00 AM. The delivery person was already there before time. He handed over the car and the car documents along with my IDP endorsement. The car was in really good condition, interior was neat and tidy. The odometer reading was around 15k kms and it was like a new car. Recommend to keep some LKR handy to pay for airport parking (300 LKR) and for toll (around 400LKR, if you are going towards Colombo straight from the airport).

The Journey: We were a group of 4 people and the car was apt for us. The Sri Lankan roads are really good without any potholes and we had a comfy ride. The car was a petrol variant with automatic transmission and delivered a fuel efficiency of around 14kmpl (with 92 octane petrol) with AC on. One thing is that the car was directly imported from Japan and the infotainment system was in Japanese language. But we somehow managed to connect our phone through bluetooth after some trial and error.

Return: We returned the car at 11:30 PM at airport departure. The process was quick. The person checked for any scratches or damages and upon absence of any gave our deposit back.

Overall had a very professional and good experience with King’s rent a car. Highly recommend.

I rented a Toyota vitz from kings for my Srilankan trip from 18th-25th October.I must say, I took the correct decision. The car was delivered precisely at the time I have requested at the airport & the airport drop was at the exact time agreed.They had provided a new car in perfect condition along withthe driving permit. Most importantly Mr Supun & his team were very friendly & responsive to client needs.I must say, they are the best car rental companies, I have used so far in Asia.

We rented a car for more than 20 days from King Rent a Car. Thank you to the company for its seriousness and excellent communication. The agency also took care of all the administration so that I could have the obligatory Sri Lankan temporary driving license (from France in just 3 emails…)

Great outfit. Friendly & helpful. A no drama and chilled pick up & return process. They had a brand new Hyundai SUV compact size, which I used for 3 weeks.
I went straight from arrivals at the airport to AA Ceylon in Colombo and got the Sri Lanka AA endorsement - fairly quick - then grabbed a tuk tuk from there and went to Kings with no prior reservation.
They will negotiate a good deal, depending on length of rental. Unlimited km. Full insurance cover is available - suggest getting it as there is then no deposit necessary and there is zero drama returning the car. By far the best self drive car rental company in Sri Lanka.

(Self driving) I have started the booking on their whatsapp, the price was right, the communication was flawless. They also handled the driving license endorsement to be able to drive in Sri Lanka, for a small fee. When we arrived we were picked up at the airport by Duminda, who also picked up the car at the location designated by me at the end of the trip.
Everything was perfect, I will definitely be using their services again when I’ll come back to Sri Lanka.
I rented a Hyundai i10 which was in perfect condition. Their price was also the best i could find after extensive research. Also, they accepted debit card as payment.

One of the best experiences i have had renting a car anywhere. I booked everything through WhatsApp and it was smooth sailing from the moment I landed at Sri Lanka airport. Channa who came over to hand me my rental car was amazing and extremely sweet. He even paid my toll the first day in cash since I didn't have the local currency yet. They arranged the Sri Lankan driving permit online as well which was a huge relief. The pricing was transparent and the whole experience was hassle free. I'd recommend going for them everytime you need to rent a car (self drive or otherwise) in Colombo. Extremely warm people with great service. The car was also in excellent condition which I really appreciate! 10/10!

Very nice car rental!
With only 2 days in advance we got a car including delivery to bentota and returned it a week later at their agency.
The car was in a very good shape. They own them all and service them on the premises, other agencies just wanted to hand out cars from "friends". Here you have a proper insurance and contract.
Deposit was given and returned in cash, payment itself made by card.
I initiated contact via whatsapp and was very happy with the friendly and quick replies.
I would recommend kings rent a car to any tourist.

We flew into Colombo airport from India and picked up the car from there and dropped it back at the airport before we flew back. The end to end experience was quite seamless. They communicated the prices, pick up and drop details effectively. They were on time to provide and recieve the car.
