It will get really busy on weekends so it's better to come early.
Perfect place for kids to enjoy and learn about birds and fishes.
River Safari will be a great experience and you may definitely try that especially if you are traveling with kids.
There is a cafeteria with decent food and a kids park also.
There are a lot more functions you can enjoy but you have to pay in cash only.

Absolutely worth the price. We really enjoyed it. The river safari was way better than expected. Has a good collection of fish & birds. Highly recommended place to go with family, friends or loved ones.

Went there on a weekday and it was not crowded at all. This place has fresh water fish, marine fish, small sharks, stringrays and birds and also a man made river safari with lots of birds and unique fishes. There are few packages you can buy from the entrance and the full package is fully worthy. Full package includes aquriums, bird zone and river safari. Also there is air rifle shooting range and a canteen. Much recommended for everyone

Had a fantastic day at Water World Kelaniya with my toddler! Although the underwater tunnel is a short area, it's a delight for kids. My little one enjoyed spotting various fish and birds. It might be brief, but it's a unique experience for youngsters. The overall visit was great, providing a fun and educational outing for families. Highly recommend for a memorable day out with your kids!

Best place to spend half of the day with family and kids. There are a lot of varieties of rare fishes and birds. We can go for a 15-minute boat ride also, which is the exciting part. The entrance fee is 950.00 (including boat ride). 20m long under water terminal also there.

This is my second time experience in Water world in Kelaniya. It's absolutely amazing with the new experience of boat ride (15 Min) but under water aquarium running path is not working that day...
They have really improvement and also they improve another experience.

Had one of the best times of my life at Water World. Really amazing displays at the aquarium. The crowd was a little excessive because it was the weekend but the facilities were plentiful to satisfy the needs of every visitor. Id like to point out the great staff who were supportive at the river Safari.

It's a great place for fish and bird lovers. I recently visited Water World Kelaniya, and it was an enjoyable experience. The full board package for 1100 per person includes access to the water tunnel, bird park, and the highlight, the water safari. I gave 5 stars just for the water safari. The water safari is a must-try, as it stands out among the other attractions. Keep in mind that they only accept cash, so be prepared. The cafeteria offers convenience, and the opportunity to feed birds three times a day adds a delightful touch to the overall experience. It's a great destination for a day out.

This is a great place to visit with family and friends. They have impressive collections of fish and birds, including some rare species. There are scheduled feeding times, and if you're lucky, you might get the chance to feed birds by hand. The river ride is decent, lacking a natural feel but not bad. Remember not to feed the animals and show them respect.

Was a nice experience. The glass tunnel aquarium was really captivating. They had a boat tour as well, did not went on it however. Rest of the things took less than 2 hours to see. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

A very beautiful place, there are things for children to learn and adults can also learn and have fun. I recommend to go and visit.

There are 3 sections here. An aquarium, a bird park and a water safari. All are cost Rs.950 for a adult. Rs 550 for the bird park and aquarium. (price for october, 2023)

🔴 In aquarium - There are lot of varieties of fish🐳🐋🐬🐟🐠🐡🦈 and other varieties of animals are here 🐙🐚. You can feed fish also. There is a water tunnel with a exhibition of a diver.

🔴 In bird park - lot of varieties of birds 🦃🐦🦆🦢🦉🦜. You can feed them and u can buy ostrich eggs for Rs. 1000.

🔴 In River safari - You can enjoy a boat ride🚤 about 20 mins. In there you can experience different environmental systems🏞 in the world with the birds and fish living there.

Other than these, there is a shooting area with an air rifle🎯, a cafeteria🥪 and a park near to kelani river.

Excellent place to visit if you are around Colombo, well maintained and managed to any other places in Sri Lanka. They keep the animals well and have lot of variety of fish.

You can feed the sun conure birds for free twice a day. ( they will announce the time when they are going to feed the birds then you can get your chance) There are loads of fish varieties sea and fresh water most of them are very rare and expensive. They take good care of the fish.
The bird park is a great place to see some beautiful and rare birds. Most of the birds that they have are pet birds you can find in the pet trade. There are no eagles or owls birds like that. There are some parrot types that are very rare.

The under Water tunnel is a small one but worth the price.

The boat ride is a must try highly recommended.

Overall the place is good for a family outing. So many things to watch, well maintaned. Highly recommended.

After a year of living in Colombo we discovered this wonderful place! A visit to the water world is a good way to spend a weekend with the whole family. This theme park includes a bird zoo, river safari and a small aquarium. There is also a recreation area with tables, a cafeteria, a playground and a shooting range on site. During the river safari, they give some educational information but we did not understand anything because the story was in Sinhala. Also inside the park there are small display cases showing bird eggs and feathers, which can also be educational for children.

The underwater tunnel is very small, with only few sharks. Other than that the safari bird park and aquarium is very nice. If you do with 2.30 to 3pm you can feed the birds for free.
