Taxila central college is a one of the best schools which are situated in Horana town. There are above 4000 students are studying there. The principle of the school is named as K K P M Jayathilake. This is a school which is famous as ‘Horana Taxila’ all around the country. This is on 3rd place in ranking list of mix schools in Sri Lanka. There are three computer laboratories in this school and also there is a “Mahindodaya Technological Faculty” for learning technology and other students for learning ICT and there is a SMART CLASS ROM.
