Castle Palace Kandy

Castle Place Kandy is a hidden gem overlooking the beautiful Victoria Reservoir overflow lake. The owner Randika and host Vimale were fantastic and made us feel so much at home. The place is great for relaxing and to be off the grid holiday.

This is the ideal place if you want to have a quiet and peaceful getaway from the city. Definitely come here when there’s water in the reservoir as I think the views might be amazing at that time.
You can go on a little hike down for a change when there’s no water. Special thanks to the assistant mr.wimaladarma who was very kind and friendly. Breakfast is good too.

After bustling Colombo and Kandy City, Castle Palace Kandy has been a true blessing. The owner welcomed us so warmly. Made our stay unforgettable.

Castle Palace is located at a very scenic point of Theldeniya. Away from the hustle bustle of the town. You can be isolated from the world for a day or two once you get there. The caretaker is very friendly. Home-made food is delicious. The place is for worth the money spent.

I absolutely recommend this place. I had an amazing stay here. I you want to stay away for the hustle and bustle of Kandy and you have your own transport, then this is the place.

It is situated at a lake and has the most amazing views. This is a place for everybody in search of some peace and silence.

Every day I could choose my breakfast (about 8 options) and my dinner. They have a nice menu which is a mix of Western and Sri Lankan food. Choose breakfast option number one, you won't regret it.

The owner was very kind and helpful. He had a book with attractions in the neighborhood and I visited a lovely waterfall with natural swimming pool. It was about 10 km away, nice drive with a scooter.

When I had problems with my scooter he contacted a friend to help me and I could leave my scooter at the hotel for two nights while I took the train to Elya.

To be honest, there was nothing I disliked. Except maybe for the mosquito's but of course, that's not the hotel to blame for.

If you want to relax and have a decent meal with mother nature's vibe, this would be a good option. No sound pollution whatsoever. You can visit Victoria reservoir even if it is full or empty as both situations give different vibes

We chose the best room in the hotel.that is the suite room.(moon room).

All the necessary facilities are there to the fullest.The bed in the room can see the entire reservoir.The mountain range can be seen in the distance filled with mist. Amazingly beautiful.

The view from the huge balcony of the room is absolutely beautiful.

The extra large bathroom with a jacuzzi tub is clean with modern equipment.

Actually, this is so beautiful place as to think that it is not a place in Sri Lanka.

Foods are delicious and service is great.

It was such a nice place. We all had a really good time. We were looking forward for the memorizing surrounding and all but we weren't actually expecting the staff to be that kind.they were very friendly and supportive.They made sure to make it feel home. In the evening and morning view was breathtaking with all the mist. We all just loved it.we were a group of like 15people. There was enough room for all and the rooms and everything was very comfortable. The whole bungalow was very spacious.Totally worth the price. We are looking forward to go their again with our families. Thank you for your great service.

Very quiet and beautiful place at Victoria lake. We really enjoyed our 5 days stay at lake view luxe room. Service way also amazing, hotel staff were doing everything to make us feel as kings.

Such a beautiful place.Surrounded by the reservoir on three sides, the misty mountain range visible from the hotel is amazingly beautiful.

The food and drinks that can be selected from a dinner menu that includes 65 different dishes including Sri Lankan, Indian, Chinese and Western are extremely delicious.

One of the best bungalow We have visited so far! No words to describe how beautiful this resort is! The bungalow staff was very polite and helpful ,Specially the reservation agent Randika and Vimaladarma who knew how to serve the guests well .Lovely atmosphere to relax and chill with the breeze. The villa was well equipped and sophisticated, Credit to the chef the food was absolutely delicious from preparation to presentation. I must say the location of the bungalow is the best ! The location is great for nature lovers ❤Rooms well equipped and very beautiful ..Castle Palace bungalow having awesome view.Staying at your bungalow was an excellent experience..

We spent two days at castle Palace kandy with our baby. There's nearly half a kilometer from thr main bus road to reach the location. Road is narrow but can easily walk or drive. Location is beautiful. It is sort of a bungalow. Garden is covered with grass and there are many huge flower trees and fruit trees as well. Staff had maintained the garden beautifully. We were the only guest during our stay. Staff was extraordinary friendly and nice. Mr. Wimaladharma who did most of the jovs on the place was very kind and we found him thoughtful as well. Food was really tasty and they had prepared food on time as we requested. Even though there was a set menu ot was yummy. You can reach the lack by walking on rocks. We choosed this place to have a relaxing stay. So we wanted to stay at this place not to explore the surrounding. Manager offered us a book with nearby places to visit and guided us as well. Rooms were okay but wish of they werw by the t spacious. Bath rooms were nice with a bathtub. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to reccomend this place.

One of the best places to spend a calm and quite holiday. Honestly we were a bit worried about some previous bad reviews about the place in Google, but the staff well managed to prove that everything was upto standards. Surrounded by mesmerizing panoramic views with super comfy and clean rooms, tidy washrooms and very spacious living environment. We were a group 15 uni students and we had an absolutely great time there. Staff was super friendly and helpful, made sure that we have the freedom enjoy our holiday as best as we can.

Great place with a very friendly service. One of the best places to spend a night. We, a group of 15 had a great time. No need to ask for kitchen or any other dinning facilities; they are there. Everything was upto standards. Clean, well maintained. Not far from main road but no noises at all. Staff was ready to help whenever asked.

One of the best place you can spend your vacation with your loved once. Beautiful unique surrounding. The Suite Room and balcony were huge and. Very spacious. You can walk to the Victoria lake and take pictures of the breath taking views.

3 sides of this Castle is surrounded by water, and this Castle is built on top of a Rock. Season to season the water level of Victoria lake goes up and down.

The staff is very friendly and will give suggestions to visit near by places.

Had a great time here. High quality friendly service, delicious foods and hospitality at its best. Would recommend for anyone hoping for a calm stay.Situated in the middle of lake. You can have a roam around the lake as well. Totally satisfied about the time spent.

We (including 3 couples) visited this hotel on last weekend of September 2020. Hotel was located on a huge rock, away from town in a very beautiful areabeautiful area facing Victoria Lake. It's very quiet and calm and soothing environment.

I have to mention the caretaker, Mr Wimaladharma, who was extremely helpful, always smiling and so kind, who made our stay comfortable and pleasant. He is indeed a great asset to the hotel.

Food was super delicious and hotel was very clean and tidy.

Planning to visit this place with my office buddies and would recommend this place without any hesitance.

One of the best places in kandy area to stay in.. the veiw is astonishing and the staff was very supportive and even help us to fireup the bbq grill. The prices are fair and no hidden charges. I recommend this place who want to spend a relaxing weekend and to people who need to explore the nearby places like deanston miniworlds end or rathota natural pool which are very close.
