Almaty International Business Lounge

I don't understand why people are hating on this lounge so bad. Yes, there is no food inside, but they give you a voucher to select from a menu of complimentary food items and a beverage. If you feel like you need more than that, yes, you need to pay for it. The atmosphere in the lounge is nice. It's way, way better than sitting outside in the crowded main airport lobby. The bathrooms are clean. Compared to the public bathrooms out in the main airport lobby, the bathrooms in the lounge are a heavenly escape. I see people saying to avoid this lounge. That seems ridiculous to me because I don't think you have any alternatives... So yeah. 5 stars. Don't listen to the haters.

Went in via Priority Pass, and got to choose from Menu 1 to 3. You would have to order and collect your food outside before going into the lounge. There’s no dedicated WiFi inside, but there’s sofa, arm chairs, charging points and toilets. It’s much more comfortable and spacious than waiting in the public area.

Zugang mit Priority Pass ist möglich, allerdings Speisen und Getränke gibt es in der Lounge nur für Gäste internationaler Airlines. Als PP oder Air Astana Gast, darf man sich einmalig kostenfrei was bei einem Essenskiosk ausserhalb der Lounge holen.

今まで行ったラウンジの中でもワースト3に入るかな💦最初に3種類のセットメニューから飲み物と食べ物を選びます。私はワインとサラダのセット。それ以外は有料。しかも高い。WiFiも無し。アルマティ観光がとても良かっただけに残念です。

Air Astana, as the national air carrier of Kazakhstan, provides no food or drinks for their business class passengers in airport business lounge. You can't bring your coffee with you, nor a snack as you have to *buy* it in the lounge. On top of everything, there's NO wi-fi in business lounge. I can't see how you can organise a business lounge worse than that.

This not a business lounge, this is a joke. If I could give it 0 stars I would. No WIFI is a cherry on top. It is the worst business lounge in 50+ countries I been to. I thought Manila was hard to beat but hey Almaty is my new low.

Complete disaster! This is not a business lounge, this is complete trash, negligence and insanitary conditions. There is no management in this place. The staff does nothing to improve or serve to clients.

This Lounge is just a f…ing joke!! A very bad one though!! First of all, it is as overcrowded as the departure hall. Actually, it was easier to get a space outside of the “Lounge”. But the biggest joke was that as Business Class guest (and Star Alliance Gold) you can only get one beer, a coffee or a tea for free, everything else you have to pay for!! In my case it was almost 7€ for a small bottle of sparkling water. As much as I liked Almaty, but this “Lounge” is just a scam.

No entry with a Turkish Airways business class ticket.

Thankfully I had priority pass.
They give you a voucher and you can order some items for free outside at the café.

The options are extremely limited.
For example, I tried to get a bottle of orange juice but that was not allowed.

The bathrooms are dirty and they charge for everything in this lounge.

People are sleeping on the couches with their shoes/socks off.

The front desk is not friendly, but the staff inside are courteous and professional.

It's still better than sitting outside with the masses, but just set your expectations.
Shame on you Turkish Airways for not even providing lounge access.

Used my dragonpass to get access into this lounge but I had no idea what I'm about to withness. Got sent to a weird café called Alacity (or sth like that) to choose from three menus which of 2 contained alcohol - which I'm not big fan of, especially at 4 am). Only the lady at the reception spoke English but for any food, drink and snacks located in the lounge you have to pay - which is a shame and currently can pronounce this lounge the worst one I've ever been to. It's shouldn't be called "Business Lounge"

Worst. Lounge. Ever.

Their system doesn’t work. The reception old hag is rude. Once you get past the reception lady and broken system after denying your AMEX or other Miles Credit card…

The inside is just a joke. They hand you a voucher. Everything inside is paid…

You cannot have anything from the buffet. Not even juice, or tea…

They give you a voucher and tell you to go to this “Alaport Bar”

Also no Wi-Fi..

Dear International travellers, please avoid this so-called business lounge!
As a Priority Pass holder I was given a voucher for a meal deal from the nearby cafe. Everything inside the lounge is chargeable unless you travel business class on certain airlines.
Expect a lot of Asian/Middle East people sleeping on the sofas or sitting barefoot, No wi-fi, obsolete computers for a fee. Have your breakfast/ lunch at the hotel!

One of the most useless airport lounge providing only one sandwich and you can choose either one bottle of water or a cup of coffee. Seems something wrong because I never had such experience by using master card lounge access app or credit card. It may be a fraud when they are charging good money from Mastercard or dragon pass but not giving more then one sandwich and one water / coffee

Mastercard and dragon pass must take action against Almaty lounge for providing worst standards compare to any other airport worldwide where amenities are not just much much more but at least no one is restricting even for a bottle of water

It‘s not really a Lounge. There is NO unlimited Food and Drinks. You only get a voucher for a small Snack Menu outside the Lounge. EverThing else you have to pay.
If you thinking about to buy Lounge Pass Access, don‘t do it! It‘s absolutely not worth it

Worst experience about this lounge . I was surprised when sow that there is nothings in it only food show in below photo . And seating .no water 💧. Nothings. priority pass lounge access closed your entire here.

A lounge where you have to pay for drinks and food ? Absolute joke. It also doesn‘t have any wifi.

Please dont waste your money here and think twice about going with priority pass. It may be „free“ for you to visit but they still get paid real money by priority pass for an absolute joke of a lounge.

All type of associations but all they give you is a voucher for Sandwich, Peanut & Cold drink.. No wifi.. Food inside is paid. They show that its free for Star alliance, Qatar and a few other airlines members but refuse to accept Lufthansa Gold..
Dirty washrooms.. Rude staff..

One of the worst lounges I have been so far. It can not cost 35USD, they can't even feed you, basically no food options, just a vaucher to get some snacks from coffee shop nearby.

It's so trash, it's beyond explanation. No WiFi in a business lounge (!), everything but the seat is for a fee (nothing is free, even tea, even water).
