Best place to buy knives in Japan!!!
Everyone was so friendly. I had the best buying experience.
I bought a 45 layer sujihiki damascus knife(which by the way is extremely light) and a Nara blue steel kiridashi kogatana, both are very sharp and very beautifully made. They even engraved my name on both the knives.
Honestly I am very impressed with the quality of the blades and the engraving. I would highly recommend visiting Kikuichi.
This is by far the best souvenir I have purchased from Japan.
I will visit the store again on my next vacation to Japan.

AMAZING STORE! I came to this knife shop as I'd seen the great reviews and had limited knowledge of which knife would suit my needs. The lady and man working in the shop were very quick to help me and I left with two amazing knives. The lady in the store spoke excellent English which was very helpful. I got both knives engraved at no extra cost and it only took about 15 minutes. They have a large range of carbon fibre and stainless steal knives ranging from about $90AUD all the way through to $500AUD depending on what you get. I purchased two large stainless steel kitchen knives for about $150AUD. Would love to visit again next time I come to Japan. Thank you for the excellent experience.

Bought two knives from here in 2017 as a memento of my trip. A 17 fold pairing knife and a 49 fold chef's knife. Had my name engraved on them and have been using them to cook with ever since.
Honestly the best knives I've ever used. The balance is perfect and they stay sharp for ages. They're a real pleasure to cook with and I'll be returning for more the next time I visit Japan.
The staff are really kind and helpful.

We bought a kitchen knife from this store in 2017 and it is still going amazingly. We remember it was near the deer park and across the road from a grassy bank. We are returning to Japan this year and luckily managed to find the store in Google maps from our memory of the area and will be coming back for more knives!

Fine japanese cutlery, "kikuichi" family tradition that's been around for over 700 years, a pleasure for the eye or if you are looking for professional japanese blades. You can also have lunch, tasteful and very decently priced. Staff speaks perfect english and they are very friendly.

I first came here 2 months ago and bought a damascus steel steak knife and a cooking knife. Well, I liked them so much that when i was next in Nara I had to drop by and pick up some more knives! This time I bough a damascus steel pairing knife and a bread knife and as far as i can tell the are amazing. Very sharp and look amazing. They will engrave your name on the knives if you ask which is also a great touch. Staff are very friendly and very informative and were very helpful in helping me make my decisions without being overbearing. I look forward to my next visit!

3種類のオードブルがしっかりとあり、どれも美味しい。
SNSで口コミを載せるとデザートがプラスされたのは嬉しい!しかもこのデザートに出た鹿の形の人形焼きの様なお菓子がとても美味しかったので、同店内のお土産売り場で買って帰った。

Je suis tombé par hasard sur cette boutique de couteau lors de ma visite du parc de Nara, j'y ai acheté un Santoku (couteau à usage polyvalent) que j'utilise régulièrement!

La qualité est excellente et le prix était correct pour un magnifique souvenir comme celui-ci qui dure dans le temps.
Je regrette même de ne pas en avoir acheter un deuxième.

まさかこんなところに刃物を扱うお店があったなんて！
最近になって奈良の魅力に目覚め、ちょくちょく足を運ぶようになったので、観光以外で繋がりのある物を持つことができて嬉しいです。
広い店内、感じの良いお店の皆さんでゆっくりと選ぶことができました。新しい包丁が欲しいなあと思っていたので、ここに決めて良かったです。
なんか出会えたと思えました。
長く使い続けていきたいです。

2歳と4歳の子連れで来店。
ピザのランチセットを注文。ピザに500円追加するだけでスープと前菜(量多め)が付いて大満足✨全部とても美味しかった。
また、雰囲気が良く、子供のおもちゃもたくさん置いてくれているので、待ち時間も子供達は退屈せず、とても良かったです。

奈良若草山にて昼食。奈良ですがカルボナーラのランチセットをいただきました🍝のんびりとした時間のなか美味しいカルボナーラ、ご馳走様でした🙂
