町中の大きなお寺です。屋根が独特の形をしているので遠くからでも分かります。周囲の壁は高めに作ってあるので外敵が来ても火災が起きても守られそうな作りです。正門から中を覗うとお墓が見えます。新しい石もありますので檀家さんがたくさんいて一般の人は入りにくい感じです。軒下に籠が見えますが八人担ぎのようでかなり格式の高い方が使っていたとみえます。寺の西壁に沿って巾1ｍほどの水路がありますがこれが1級河川とは少々驚きました。
