Hoshino Resorts Oirase Keiryu Hotel

Very beautiful hotel and great ambience. Would definitely return. The fireplace area with the windows was a great place to relax during the day. The onsen facilities were clean and I enjoyed the outdoor one. The rooms were clean and spacious. Staff and food was great too.

The view and interior design of this hotel is JUST RIGHT. Not too fancy or cliche, it merges perfectly with the natural scenery outside. If your body condition allows, please go to the outdoor onsen, the view is breathtaking no matter at night or daytime.

Best resort in this Oirase area, we stay for 2 nights at room with private onsen inside, feel happy and fresh. Using a free shuttle bus from Aomori Station, make it easier. Have a free bus to explore Oirase, easier for guest with no car. Good dinner and breakfast arrangement, happy to stay here. Will come back if we have a chance to visit.

It’s a beautiful hotel with excellent customer service. The buffet breakfast & dinner was the best we ever had. The outdoor onsen is amazing.

Excellent hotel for decompression/relaxation! This hotel is located near the Oirase stream, and would be best to drive there. Easy to navigate to using Google maps. Drive up was a bit scary though due to the heavy fog and winding mountain roads (but that was because we went in May when the weather is less stable).

Service was excellent, and staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a service staff who was very willing to practise his English with us and engaged me after my meal (he was also the same staff who checked us in!).

Great views of Oirase, and very quiet and tranquil area. Good for some trekking too along the road for some fresh air.

Will come back again and to visit Aomori!

My experience at this hotel was really amazing. Not only the facilities were very nice, but also the services were wonderful.

I’ve participated the the winter activity, light up show. The event itself was really good, but beyond that I’d like to thank this lovely young lady, 力石典子！Her tour guide was great, yet I wasn’t able to understand 100% of the content since my Japanese listening isn’t that good. I went and approached her afterwards asking if there’s any documents that I can read. What made me felt so touching is that she prepared this lovely papered PPT for me with her lovely hand writing words! I really appreciate 力石さん‘s kind help and warm greeting!
The design of the room is really nice and stylish!

Good: incredible location. Wonderful food. Unforgettable lounge area with view of the gorge. Magical views from river-facing bedroom. Staff friendly and competent; even remembered our seating preferences for the restaurant and made sure we were similarly accommodated each time.

So-so: most events were already full before we even checked in! Suggestion: add more capacity or be more aggressive in pre-check in emails regarding the need to reserve ahead of time online. Even more crucial in winter because the main trail is blocked and without a tour you cannot visit the gorge at all!

The windows from the dining area were curtained off, blocking any views of nature while eating. What an unfortunate and bizarre decision given that the nature setting is the reason people come to the hotel. Presumably this was to save on heating?

The west wing is very far away from everything and frankly feels forlorn. Happily we were able to switch to an east wing room at checkin and loved our room (top floor double, east wing).

Service is magnificent. We arrived by coach and after a 2hr trip, they welcomed us at the door and provided complimentary drinks and snacks. The food for dinner and breakfast is amazing. Onsen is great as well. Definitely recommend.

A little out of the way, but had quite a magical time. The rooms are spacious and the communal onsen was awesome, especially the outdoor section. The food provided at the buffets were of great quality. We had a fun and relaxing time.

You can also join the free bus tours or walk around the area. [We went to the cafe at the Oirase field museum (a few minutes’ walk from the resort) - the apple themed desserts and tea were delicious.]

The gift shop carried good quality omiyage and it also serves as a mini conbini. I loved the apple rusk snack!

The stay here was excellent. Nice view both in the room and in the onsen (winter view is cool)! The dinner and breakfast buffets were really nice with a wide variety of choices (which have a central theme of Aomori Apples). The staff was really helpful with functional English. Overall it was an amazing and satisfying stay.

This hotel is really amazing especially for the autumn leaves. The rooms for this season is booked so quickly. I tried to book it in June and the rooms were almost fully booked! So, if you want to visit here for autumn, you should book it in advance. And the price goes up so crazy but it's worth it.

It felt like paying 30% of the money to enjoy Ritz Carlton experience.

Wonderful facility, attentive service, delicious food, as well as amazing view in the onsen.

had stayed twice with my family. Really beautiful place and cozy room. Friendly staff and traditional spring water. Amazing experience. Free bus shuttle to the oirase stream. The apple kitchen provides healthy and yummy food. Apple juice is awesome. I will definitely want to come back after the pandemic.

When I left the hotel and heading to Tokyo, I realised I left my leggings in the hotel. I wrote to the hotel‘s info email address and got the immediate response. The staff mailed the leggings to my hotel in Tokyo and it arrived in 2 days’ time. The service is so impressive that it shows Hoshino standard.

Excellent! I have been to many of Hoshinoya's other hotel/resorts and this place is just as good. We got a spacious room that had an excellent view of the Oirase Keiryu and we could hear the water flow when we opened the window. There was also a lot of different activities you could try, and I tried a few like the lamp making class. Loved it, was an excellent trip. Will go again if possible.

This resort is excellent for the natural environment and resources. In winter with snow in white, and summer with green and fresh. Highly recommend for relaxation. Excellent service by hotel staff.
