Minato Sushi

Sashimi was really fresh. We ordered the big donburi set which included 3 different types of shrimps and many other fishes (swordfish, abalone, ikura roe, etc) and all were great. If I were to pick my top 3 favourite items, it would be the ikura roe, swordfish and shrimps.

We also ordered the tamago in the end as we saw someone delivering the raw eggs to the restaurant and it looked really big. It was really juicy and fluffy at the same time, even better than those you would get from specialty store in Tsukiji market, etc.

It is definitely worth the trip if you are around the area, this is Japanese hospitality and food quality at its best. The owner of the place also just turned 84 years old yesterday so happy birthday to him!

The kaisendon is fantastic and goes by the season. Service is really good and the chef himself is so active even at such an age (80+)

One of the culinary highlights in Japan. We had tried the omakase before which featured fresh fish from Hokkaido, but this time we went straight to the goods: uni chirashi don and bluefin o'toro. The uni was plentiful, fresh, sweet, and flavorful. The uni they serve is not like the small stuff you get at the Japanese supermarket and it doesn't taste off like the ones in North America. The otoro melts in your mouth like butter. I had mine with sushi rice. You can judge how good a chef is based on the rice.. in this case the nigiri was perfect from the way it wss seasoned to the firmness as if it was held together like magic but falls apart at the perfect moment. There is no English menu but staff is friendly and patient.

Amazing Sushi place and completely blew my mind! The owner has been preparing sushi for decades. Everything is made from fresh local ingredients and they have seasonal specialities. My best dinner of 2019. Thank you ☺

Best sashimi and Chirashi I had in Hokkaido. Super fresh fish, excellent service, and very friendly staff.

This was one of the best sushi I had on this trip. If you come to Shakotan pay a visit. Everyone is also very kind and make you feel welcome.

Incredibile experience

Extremely friendly staff (offered to guide us to our accommodation by car), and incredible quality sushi. Easily some of the best bites of sushi in my life.

This place is wonderful! We were able to pick specific fish we wanted for our sushi, which was fresh and had amazing flavor! The family truly has a passion for food and serving those who enter their doors (regardless of language barrier)! Would highly recommend!

60-year-old authentic sushi restaurant, the chef is almost 80 years old and dedicated almost his whole life making sushi. The restaurant source most ingredients locally, we tried the Bafun Uni which is only available in summer time, and it was heavenly good. High recommended.

A very nice and cosy restaurant that serve nice and fresh sushi. The owner is very friendly and service is good. I would come definitely come again with my friends.

訪問したのは6月入ってすぐ。
まだウニのシーズン始まったばかりなので特にウニを食べにっていうわけじゃなく、いつ行ってもこちらの満足度は高いので混む前に予約なしでの訪問でした。
ホントにうに丼だけじゃこちらを楽しむには勿体ないです。
海鮮丼のネタの良さとお寿司屋さんだけあってシャリがめちゃ美味い！
積丹に海鮮丼うに丼食べさせるお店は数あれど、酢飯での提供店は案外少ないんです。
海鮮丼にはやっぱり酢飯が合います。
いつもあれば頼む甘えびの沖漬けはこの日はなくて食べれませんでした。
こちら、あったら是非食べてみてください、めっちゃ美味しいですから。

海鮮丼を食べていたら丁度ウニが入荷したらしく、ちょこっと一口くらいだけど食べる？って言ってくれていただきました。
まだ走りだけどやっぱり積丹のウニは美味い！！

むらさきウニ丼をいただきました。
弾力があってひとつひとつのサイズも大きくふっくら、口にいれるとクリーミーでとろける味わいで大変美味しかったです。
食器も涼しげで美しく、サービスでつく前菜は日によって違うのでしょうが回らない寿司屋の美意識を感じます。待ち時間さえクリアできれば女性が喜ぶお店だと思いました。

大変人気のお店で12時前について18組待ちで2時間待ちました。提供も30分くらいかかるので生ウニの6～8月はお時間がかかることは覚悟して行った方が良いです。

お値段は仕入状況などで日によって変動するようです。

以前来たことがある方は
ウニ丼とミニウニ丼がある、女性はミニウニ丼で十分と言っていましたがご飯の量が多いとのご意見から全てミニウニ丼サイズに統一されたようです。(ごはん大盛り対応はあります)
量的には小どんぶりサイズです。

チップの囲炉裏焼き(焼いた状態で提供)は味付けが選べる嬉しい使用でした。昆布塩はパウダー状で、焼きたての提供ではないですが焼き加減と味付けが絶妙でさすがお寿司屋さんです。(写真撮り忘れました）

メニューも豊富なので、次は丼じゃなくウニ寿司(これも量が凄い)とチップ等単品で色々食べるか、ウニとその他三色丼にするかを考え既に楽しみです。

ボリューム満点港寿しさん！

通常のうに丼もうにがたっぷりですが、限定メニューの特盛がすごいです！
食べられたことはないのですが（要予約）他の方のうに丼を見ていると1年分くらい乗っている気がします。

うに好きにはたまらないボリュームです！

お料理の提供はおっとりしているので、待ち時間を含めお時間のない方は違うところに行くのをおすすめします。
気持ちと時間に余裕を作っていくor前の月から予約などをして行くのが肝心です。

刺盛りも現地のものをたくさんいれてくださるのでおすすめです。
