Asamushi Aquarium

I was really impressed with this aquarium. Not too busy and we spent around 3 hours taking it all in. A lot of fish native to Japan. The dolphin show was short but often and the seal show was soon after. We did miss the dolphin feeding which was around 2pm. The interactive part at the end was marvelous for children especially. You can touch and pick up clams, star fish etc.

This place gets 5 stars. Do not expect a large aquarium as we are in a more isolated part of Japan. Asamushi is worth the trip! There is a lot of animals to see and the dolphin show is short but very cool! For a small aquarium, it really does offer a lot.

Not an extremely big aquarium, but there's not many visitors (perhaps because we went on a weekday afternoon), so it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. I especially loved the sea mammals area, where we got to see the penguins and seals. Not the best or biggest aquarium I've seen, but it has its own charms. (The town where the aquarium resides in is near the coast, and also worth a stroll in my opinion.)

Such a great place with a great view! The staff were super friendly and the price was super reasonable ever i consider it as cheap for those beautiful fishes! Even you can touch some ocean creatures!!

The museum is a ton of fun for all ages. The dolphin show is amazing! The mixture of marine life from around the world is good too! After a fun time at the aquarium I recommend swinging by one of the popular hot springs in the area.

Such an incredible place to visit. My 2 young kids love it and my husband and I always fimd something new and amazing. The food here is great and super friendly with Americans. Love it!

Really fun for it's size! Less than 10 dollars (1000) for admission. Definitely worth doing if you are in it around Aomori!

small Aquarium but still very nice for the kids, and adults alike. For me i like reef aquariums, they had a very small section, but none the less really cool. We didn't experience the dolphin show, but still had a blast, would highly recommend.

Great little aquarium. Dolphin show and other cool little things come with the price of the ticket. There's a small cafeteria and ice cream shop inside as well. Great place to visit on vacation and with people of all ages.

Fun aquarium. Wish the dolphins had bigger tanks. They have english signs if you're from Misawa, worth the drive.

Not one of the larger aquariums in Japan but like many of its kind(local smaller capacity aquariums), this place has a nice story to tell and a certain friendliness that you may or may not appreciate. I liked the cute signs and descriptions including the ones about the otters. The Asamushi park surrounding the aquarium is quite beautiful too, especially on a rainy day.

One of the sites to see in Aomori/Asamushi area for sure if you like aquatic life.

You can reach the Aquarium by train from Aomori. The entrance price isnt expensive and there is lots to see there, even its a smaller aquarium. You can spend about 2-3 hours there, if you watch everything in detail. The best part is the dolphin show. This show is really amazing.

A great aquarium with a lot of variety and a Dolphin show! Costs about 10 dollars or 1030 yen for 1 adult. Highly recommend!
