Although the peak season has passed there are still many trees of the white variety. Less visitors also give much more freedom to take beautiful images of the cherry blossoms.

Visited on 10/4, really a good view now. Surrounding with pinking sakura. We really enjoy and wish to visit again.

It's not easy to come here if u are a tourist. Took me long travel time from Tokyo but it worths! Feel so grateful to have such a nice place. Better go before 10 to ensure u can have nice selfie

I went there in golden week , the sakura was ended but this park was awsome.

Sakura bloomed early and so we travelled for four hours to Katakami to see this beautiful scene. Long park with sakura at different states. Was worth the trip if you have a JR pass.
Few handmade local food and gift stools around. Really nice off the beat non tourist experience. Only Gaijin around.

You can take a small ferry to cross the river to go. However, the signboard diverted people to walk along the main street which has nothing to see. Just go straight towards the riverbank and decide whether you want to take the ferry. The pier is full of people. Walk along the riverbank and cross the bridge to go. You won't regret for such decision because of the beautiful scenic. If you are feed up with sakura, you can walk inside the park which has a lot of entertaining performance.
