1872年（明治5年）3月15日 - 四日市では学制に先立ち、寺小屋・私塾の生徒を母体に三重県最初の小学校として三重郡四日市町上新町（光運寺）に四日市学校を創立。

歴史のある小学校です。
私が入学した頃2年目くらいに校舎が新しくなり現在の形になりました。
15年以上たっていますがまだ綺麗なので手入れや補強工事等定期的に行っているのでしょう。

去年で開校150周年でした。
四日市学校とも昔は言われていました。
