Its hard to say how amazing this pagoda is, the thing is massive and truly ancient. You can see in the wear and tear on the wooden structure that its been through quite a bit of history. Suffice to say its a beautiful architectural wonder.

The five storied pagoda is a wonderful highlight in the temple complex and has a beautiful architecture. Different from others, this pagoda shows is beauty in wooden colors and contrasting white.

Amazing structure. It is very large and usually the first thing you see as you walk towards the park. It was really awe inspiring when you are at the base of this multi leveled wooden structure.

Walking distance from Nara Station, easily to be found. Sadly when we were here, many students are on school trip. So it was crowded on a weekday.

Don't pay to go close, you gain a few feet and then are out a bit of cash, instead simply walk around and enjoy the many temples and shrines in the park. Tons of options to see and photograph.

HUGE! Truly amazing size. The area is kept very clean, and the odd deer or two make it all the way here as well. Definitely make this place a stop on your visit to Nara.
