Ishikawa Zoo

This is a great little zoo. The animal exhibits are laid out around a pond in the center of the zoo and is surrounded by nature, which gives the zoo a relaxing atmosphere. The way that the exhibits are designed make it easy to get close to the animals. Just be aware that the small animal encounter section of the petting zoo closes earlier than the rest of the zoo, so go earlier if you want to visit that section of the park.

Probably the best zoo experience I had in Japan. It was a rainy day without any visitors. Small yet packed with lots of animals! Definitely worth the hour bus ride from Kanazawa Station.

I love the zoo and go with my family many times. Everything is very clean.

There are many exhibition spaces, but it is difficult to go through them all at once, so it is best to visit several times.

Great place for Kids to enjoy and get to know about wildlife. You can view from really close the different animals which is pretty cool.

This is big zoo in Ishikawa. There are many animal here such as sea lion, elephants, penguins, capybara and more.

The first zoo im japan was visited by our family. it is cleaner zoo than our country zoo.

Despite is a little bit small comparing others, this zoo is one of the greatest I have never visited. Perfect distribution, easy to see and enjoy the animals. The cages are really good designed and the animals are so active and receive proper care.

You kidding me!? A fabulous zoo right there between the airport and suburban Kanazawa where my family and I travel to stay with my in-laws--kid's grandparents--once (at least) a year for the last decade +! Love it there...lots of memories of kids aquainting themselves with the creatures who reside there...we'll miss you Decaobachan (the Hippo)!!! 💕💔💓
