Absolutely beautiful spot! It's free to visit, but there is a small fee for parking your car. Be advised that this location is not handicapped accessible. There are a lot of stairs and several places without guard rails.

Beautiful contrast between the water, rocks, and leaves in the fall! Wish I could've come a bit sooner, but it's still so beautiful! Very quick trip, maybe takes an hour? Also you can visit the shrine and get a goshuin. Also there's exotic food, like crickets/bugs to eat and snake infused drinks? Of course also ice cream, snacks, and a farmers market stall. And there was some beautiful woodwork with kokeshi, spinning tops, and mushroom carvings.

Hesitated to drop by due to the forecasted rain. Thankfully I did! From a landscape perspective, this beats Ouchi-juku hands down. Amazing view!

To-no-Hetsuri is a 200-metre long bridge along the natural cliff.
Friendly reminder: Just carefully walk around to have a nice picture. The view is so nice.

Splendid View. Emerald green color of Lake. Fall Autumn season would be the best time to visit To-No-Hetsuri.
Visited in Mid-March.

I love this view. You can take the train from Aizu-Wakamatsu station, if you come from the Fukushima area by Aizu Tesudo line. Also the train cost will be around 1150. The Tohoku area pass will not cover this train line.
You can see nice views while travelling by train. Be sure to take this train trip even if you travel by a vehicle.

Place is quite good but it is prohibited to go down in winter. Here you will get traditional ramen which make with mushroom.
