Karuizawa Prince Hotel East

We would like to thank to Manager Kanai from The East of The prince Hotel who helped us on 2/16. We had a huge trouble and with his warm and kind assistance that we can safe and solved the problem. We are appreciated everything you did. Huge thank to you. Even we were stayed at west side Hotel. His kindness that we won’t forget forever. The best person ever. Thank you again.

We stay in a cabin. Their shuttle can pick you up to most places inside prince hotel areas. Also they can drop you at the station. It's quiet and comfortable when staying there. Although the cabin has some history, it's clean and nice.

Walking distance to the outlet mall, also got a nice ski facilities for skii lovers.

Hot bath pools very comfortable n relaxing, enjoy every moments there

Stayed 1 night with family using the Go to travel campaign subsidy around the Halloween period . Was given a cabin style spacious room with a bath , toilet , small living room and 2 bedrooms . One of the bedrooms was equipped with a double decker bed and a small playroom and my 2 kids loved running around. The outlet mall is just a stone thrown away from the hotel by foot so we enjoyed the shopping and meals were not a problem . The weather was not so good when we visited but the fresh air , cool weather and friendly staffs more than made it up . Would definitely visit and stay here again .

The service here is top notch everyone tried there best to accommodate us and help us despite the language barrier.

The cottages are great value and very cozy. I would absolutely come back here for my next visit.

The outlet mall is just around the corner when you need a break or some food. Although the hotel restaurants are affordable and very good food.

One thing that could be improved is the signage as often I had to ask around to find specific services.

Overall I would give my experience a full 5 stars and thank the staff for their amazing effort.

As first time stayed the location is very convenience and just 5 minutes walk from Karuizawa Station.Staffs very nice and told the room facilities very details. Room is very clean and tidy. the Wifi is with high speed that can easily for itinerary planning. The last but not least, you can see the beautiful view and in winter season you can see everything in white.

Excellent place for the family! There's a big place for kids to enjoy fun in the snow: sledding, tube ride, playground equipped with snowball makers, inflatable jumper and ski lessons for kids.
There are also ski and snowboarding slopes.

Convenient location with easy access to Karuizawa station as well as the shopping plaza. If you choose not to walk, there is also a shuttle service that runs between the different wings, the station, and the shopping plaza.

Booking the Twin rooms also opens up the option of visiting the on-site hot spring bath, which was a nice escape when the shops were closed due to the typhoon.

Breakfast options are either Western or Japanese at the All Day Grill restaurant, and while it was delicious, we thought that the selection was slightly limited. Thankfully, we were also offered the option of heading to the Primrose restaurant at the West wing, which was a breakfast buffet.

The staff were really helpful and made the stay a great one! When we asked if there was a way to get to the West wing for breakfast before the shuttle bus services started, they immediately offered to send us over in their van. That was definitely a pleasant surprise!

Great location 👍, 2 3 minutes walk from the outlet plaza and train station (have shuttle looping at the prince group clusters and the train station) ski park at the back, and hot spring at East wing. Spacious room and if u optioned not to clean up your room, you will get 500yen cash coupon for use in the souvenir shop.

Tips: The shuttle stop near the train station is located at the comma ca cafe in the outlet plaza. Turn right from the train concourse. Take the exit at this side. Go to G/F via lift or the stairs. Go straight from the stair's direction. Turn left at the building block across the road (7-11 on the left). Shuttle bus stop at that corner. The shuttle runs every half an hour from 08:00-21:00.

Hotel was near train station with bus service provided. The cottage we stayed is very near the ski slope and karuizawa shopping outlet with tons of shops. Karuizawa old Ginza street is just further away. The cottage was clean, spacious and amenities all provided. As we were only staying 2 nights, we rejected Housekeeping to support hotel’s eco programme and were given a ¥1000 voucher which wife used to buy some souvenir at the lobby as we were checking out. Overall a wonder stay except that cottage was very cold at night. Not sure if it was the weather or we didn’t know how to use the heater in the room properly! 😅

We were weary travellers who checked in late. We headed to the sukiyaki restaurant for dinner. We came just in time for the last order.

We were super grateful that the service staff attended to us thoughtfully even though they were closing.

By the time we finished, it was an hour past closing time, yet the service was still friendly.

We will highly recommend this restaurant. It helps that the wagyu beef sukiyaki is divine.

Love living at their cottage!!! Everything is nice!! If you don't need their cleaning service for consecutive stay, you can get a 1000 yen rebate voucher for hotel restaurant and others services. The only complain I had is the breakfast provided at PORTO was not quite up to standard for the asking price.

There's shuttle bus services but it's very close to the shopping plaza so we walk there every time.

We stayed in a cottage overlooking the first green. It was a very relaxing stay. Breakfast in the New York restaurant was great. I'd recommend getting there early to avoid the rush.

very near to tokyo, very beautiful view from up , safe skies and children friendly. can get ski shoe and other things on rent . just see before you rent any thing is that useful or not for your activity.

The cottages are really nice, suitable for tourists who wants to experience living in a small
cabin in the snow. It's really pretty and cozy place to stay.

Very Convenient Ski Resort. 1hr5mins bullet train from Tokyo Station. An outlet for serious shopperholic. Food in hotel is reasonable. Must try the Teppanyaki for lunch. (Dinner is too expensive).

Nice place, nice restaurant, tried the Japanese beef, taste juice, service was very good. A lovely place for skiing, self service free drink at lobby (please don't abuse ot : ) ).
