Costco Wholesale Tomiya Warehouse

Costco is a cheap, good value shop selling mostly American food in large doses. There is also a food court with extremely tasty and high value food! You do need to buy a member card or go with someone who has one before you are allowed to go in, but it's totally worth it.

I’m a visitor from the US and was happy to see a Costco here in Japan. My membership works internationally and it was nice to shop at one of my favorite places. Obviously, there are items unique to Japan like sushi platters, but it was also pleasing to see they had their famous rotisserie chicken! Highly recommend!

My family and I went to Costco around 6pm and we finished shopping around 7:45pm. For some reason we couldn’t start the car. Costco was closing and our 2-month old baby was with us. Me and my baby were waiting for my husband inside the car. It was so cold. Not so long, 2 Costco employees approached us and without hesitation helped us. I won’t forget this encounter. The other employee who I believed has already finished his shift l, was willing to go to the convenience store to buy a battery for the car key. Then the other one asked for helped from other employees inside the building. We are so grateful for these people. I won’t forget their faces.

You have to be choosy in order to avoid over budget shopping ... and also, it’s good to bring cash as some of the credit cards are not accepted ...

You need to be a Costco member to shop here . They sell many different things but we mostly come for the food products

Some products (flour, olive oil) are cheaper than in most places in Japan. Others are actually on the pricey side. Good quality overall.

A dream come true for a Westerner. As expected for Costco, fantastic prices for everything under the sun (fruit, tires, snacks, condiments, frozen foods, bakery items) and decent prices for some other things (vegetables, clothes, furniture, electronics).

Everything is always of the highest quality, and the selection will make any foreigner visitor squeel in delight.

The food cafeteria does not disappoint either, with delicious and unbelievably cheap quality options.

If you live in Miyagi prefecture and you have someone that can drive you to Costco. It is worth it! This place has everything imported from America as well as all around the World. The price, quantity and quality is so good. It's also a good way to save money.

I am glad to see Costco in Sendai. It is a big whole sale market where you can find pretty much everything you might need; all kids of food, household materials, meat and fish products, cosmetics and many more. You can buy in big sizes of everything. We usually get detergent and washing dishes here. My daughter’s is big size of Nutela :)
There is food corner. Delicious pizza with very cheap price, churros, soup and refill drink option. Cheese pizza is my favorite. In addition that there is a tire section and gasoline station. You can buy gasoline with a cheaper price if you have a costco card and a master credit card.
What I don’t like is the annual fee. You need to pay every year to be able to do shopping here. If you don’t have a Costco card you can get it at the entrance. It takes about 10-15min. You can also get another one for your spouse.
There is a huge free parking area.

Lots of high quality products at good prices. Cheapest gas prices by far, but you must have a Mastercard. A little too crowded on weekends.

Cheapest gas you can buy. Also, the only gas station in Miyagi where you can pump gas without having to hold the gas nozzle the entire time.
You do need a rechargeable prepaid card (purchased inside Costco) or a Costco credit card to buy gas. Cash is not an option for payment.

Like any other Costco but the parking space is huge and more accessible than the stores I visited around the Kanto area.

Great if you’re looking to buy things in bulk. They also have American style and size pizzas.

Great place to visit. Very delicious pizza and soft icecream.

The store is clean and the service is great. The best time to go seems to be an hour before the store closes.
