The staff is always friendly and speak English and Japanese. The atmosphere here is so cool! And their apparel is awesome! We’ve gotten drinks, stickers, and coffee beans from here and have never been disappointed. If you’re a coffee snob looking for an awesome place to visit, Dark Arts would be the place to go!

The atmosphere and service were great. They played good music and had their own merchandise to sell. We ordered the meat lasagna which came as a big portion and was tasty. I only wish it was a little warmer. We had the espresso tonics which were a great pick me up on an otherwise cloudy day. Overall, a great little hidden cafe

I’ve been here several times and it never disappoints!! The coffee selection is extensive and yummy of course. I like a regular cappuccino most days; husband loves the Vietnamese iced coffee. The food menu is small but everything on it is done so well and consistently. We love the English muffin breakfast and the vegan burger, both come with a delicious salad! Dedicated parking spots right across the street. The staff are always so kind and lovely.

Update: I learned bread is so amazing because it’s made IN HOUSE. Also the smoked salmon panini is so.damn.good.

Great brekkie/brunch/lunch cafe with great coffee and food. I ordered the English Muffin set which included a salad and coffee. They also sell merchandise and roasted beans. The cafe has an edgy nice vibe = British > Japanese blend with a raw industrial interior. Overall, stop in for a bite and a spot of coffee, you will not be disappointed 😍

Brunch/lunch Menu starts at 10am so be mindful if you want their delicious vegan meals. The cinnamon rolls is delicious 😋

The cafe is within walking distance from the Zushi-Hayama station. We love it here!

One of the best cappuccinos I’ve had in Japan, coupled with excellent vegan food and a cozy atmosphere. Staff is lovely, their bean selection is vast, and I only wish I lived closer. A must-visit if you’re in the area!

The vegan sausage is handmade in-house as well as the sour dough bread.
Also have a vegan hotdog and salad set on the menu. (Well labelled)

This place is super comfortable. Nice coffee, food, music, wifi, power and free parking (for one vehicle). Easily spent 4 hours here to get work done, grab lunch and just chill. You can tell that the owner definitely loves what they do in the attention to details here.

This place is awesome, not pretentious, really nice and cool staff, great food, currently a cute dog sitting next to me, what else could I possibly want? Ordered a hot dog which surprisingly came with two glizzys and was a giant sexy greasy mess. Really cool merch too. Can't wait to come back.

Great coffee, great atmosphere. I knew this coffee brand from London and bought their beans. Was really surprised to find it in Hayama, and needless to stay that we went in and checked the place out. Highly recommend

Dark Arts is the perfect spot for a nice chill breakfast or lunch. Between the mood setting decorum, cool apparel for sale, music and great food, this place is always a fantastic choice. The Vietnamese coffee is AMAZING, the veggie burger is worth getting every time and the specials are always worth getting. If you’re reading this review and haven’t been, go! It’s worth the trip.

Wow! With my wife we had a vegan burger and a chocolate cake with cafe latte, and it was stunning. The portions are generous, the taste is refined and not oily, the chocolate cake had subtle coconut flavor, and the coffees were very well balanced. I couldn't say from the outside that we would find such a nice eating place. We recommend!

Pretty nice place. I just kind of stopped here arbitrarily because I was close by. They seem to be very serious about their coffee, like they roast the beans themselves kind of serious. I do remember this one guy in Fukuoka though - like 25 years ago - who would personally inspect every bean before he would grind them right in front of the customer. Nobody did nothing like that here. I remember his name too - Bimi. Hey, Dark Arts was playing some classic bluesy rock (rocky blues?) music tonight. They certainly had the right vibe going on when I was here. I'd like to come by again. I don't know. Usually, awesome places dont seem so awesome 2nd time around. And you know something else: coffee is like the Buddha. No matter what type you practice, it's all good. I think I'm gonna have one of those Blendy instant sticks with breakfast now.

A third wave coffee shop, offering espresso and filter coffee. In house roasting. Cool aesthetic, real London Punk. Offers several vegan options. They made their own sourdough in house as well. Food and drinks were delicious. Will come back for cocktails! Open for brunch and lunch.
