Aso Station

Bus service to the Aso national park runs from here. There is a ticketing counter and a ticket machine with English language selection. ¥1500 will get you a day ticket for the bus. The bus departs about every half or one hour. We worried about not being able to get down from the volcano due to overcrowded buses and missing our train. It turned out that they send two buses during busy hours to make sure everyone can fit.

Cute and quaint station. From here you can board the bus to Aso national park. During busy times there will be a wait of 30-60 minutes to get a bus. Make sure to check out the michi-no-eki (rest stop) by the station.

This is the stop where you should be at if going to Aso Mountain. You can either take the Kyushu highway bus from ( Kumamoto, Beppu, Yufuin Center) please check the bus schedule for details on bus schedule and cost. Or you can take the JR Kyushu Rail.

Buy your Aso Sanjo Terminal from here (round trip ¥1,300).

There is a gift shops which you can buy food, gifts or souvenirs.

Can buy bus tickets via machine (English supported). Lockers for 600 yen onwards available. The information center staff is super helpful with all info. Provided hiking map, bus timings etc.

Amazing experience while riding ASO BOY from Kumamoto

Nice little station. The restaurant next door was closed for cleaning but still enjoyed my time here. Great way to enter Aso Kuju!

The station restaurant has vegetarian ramen made with local plants : delicious ! If the crater is not accessible (which was the case for me) : take the train (caution, not a JR line) from Aso Station to Shirakawa and visit the valley south of the volcano. Awesome landscapes and nice japanese countryside to visit :)

There is the tourist office open from 9 am. Very helpful staff! You can receive the maps

love it, country side, green, so fun to start it from there.. ride between kumamoto and aso has never been so entertaining!

雨の日ですら、阿蘇山行きの海外からの観光客でごった返すバスチケット売り場にいらしたオジ様が親切で助かりました。

熊本では定番の表現で、「扉を開けたあとは閉めなさい」という意味だそうです。

阿蘇山のふもと最寄駅です。
まるで溶岩を思わせるような黒っぽい壁の綺麗な駅舎。
駅舎内にはクレヨンしんちゃんファミリーと、駅前広場にはウソップ像があり、写真を撮る人で賑わっていました。
隣には道の駅があるので食事やお土産を買うにも便利です。

搭乘「阿蘇男孩」來到此地，有一間簡餐店，公車轉運站，班次不多大概幾十分鐘一班，可以刷IC交通卡，或是買票搭乘公車。還有騙人布的雕像。

自駕來的門口有停車場免收費 搭火車的人很多 旁邊有騙人布銅像

即便這個車站不大
不客氣的說是個小車站
但光是“阿蘇”這兩個字
就足以讓世界各地的旅遊人士
不遠千里 飄洋過海
就為了一睹阿蘇風采
出車站的右手邊
有交通巴士可以搭乘往阿蘇火山的售票口
方便自由行的旅客前往
出車站的11點鐘方向
有間農產品販售處
真的一定要撥時間過去
就是因為太晚下山
又得趕火車的狀況下
只逗留不到10分鐘
真的太可惜了
不過～阿蘇的魅力就是會讓人再次前往

굉장히 시골인 아소역.
Jr기차도 있고 오이타, 구마모토로 가는 버스도 있다.
코인락커도 있고 화구로 가는 버스 티켓도 구입할 수 있다.
화산 박물관까지 가는 편도 640엔.

처음 갈 때는 화구 터미널로 사는 걸 추천 !

環山非常漂亮，站內有觀光詢問處，一出站右手邊就可以搭巴士，非常方便。

站內有wifi ，網速有時候不錯，有時候很慢。阿蘇站內之前有一家部落客推薦的餐廳「火星」，站務員說現在依然沒有營業。拿JR pass的旅客要注意，有很多列車是全席預約席，記得查好後先預訂。
