We had a great coffee this morning! Best coffee we have had so far in Japan.

Quirky little cafe, very friendly owner. We had hot chocolates which were quite bitter but came with sugar to add according to your preference. Pleased to find soy milk available.

Coming from Sydney our coffee standards are very high. I was dubious that coffee with cute pictures on top could also taste good. I was delighted however. The coffee is excellent and the pictures are made BY HAND! The owner/barista is a true artist, and very proud of his coffee.
French toast was a hit with kids (and parents). Not too sweet like it often is.

Note: You only get a picture on a Cappuccino coffee!

We came here everyday we were in Koyasan. The coffee is good and the french toast is fantastic. I recommend for sure.

A very interesting place to get your coffee and something to eat. The owner has different sorts of quarts displayed which certainly adds a special touch to the shop. You can even buy most of the displays. The coffee and service were great too. I strongly recommend visiting if you are in the area.

We dropped into this corner hole-in-the-wall cafe and had one of the best espresso-based coffee in Koyasan! Thank you to our kind Barista who didn’t speak much english but was still very warm and friendly. Lovely latte art of a bear which he made even though it was a takeaway order!

From Melbourne, so used to good coffee. This place really nails their coffees. Highly recommended!

The reviews are true, the walk is worth it! Might as well anyways to see Koyasan Danjo (which is also a sight to see). Coffee quality is close to Australian, probably the best we've had so far being in Japan. The French Toast and Curry with Rice are must haves. And the owner is such a sweet guy, glad we came here during lunch.

Best coffee in Mount Koya (Koyasan). Opens early at 7.30am (as opposed to other coffee shops which opens at 9am) and it was near where we stayed in Saizenin. Had their French toast too, was a nice change from the food we had had our accommodation. As the shop keeper is the only one making coffee and toast, it can get a little slow, but hey, if you are on a vacation, there’s no rush at all.

Highly recommend this place.

Best espresso I had in a while! I have been seeking good coffee ever since but in Japan, it’s tough! Chapeau!!!
