Liquor Mountain Gion

Japanese whisky HERE!
At the back alley of Gion for yet another highlight at least to me. Even for those who don’t read Japanese know what it is. So I feel the English “menu” translation is certainly unnecessary in this case.

Again, before any acquisition, it’s time to check with my trusted WAB (whisky advisory board), CMO (chief minum officer) and CWO (chief whisky officer) and SWC (senior whisky consultant).

Do you need 4 litres of whisky? Then this is your place! They also have a good variety of other (reasonably sized) drinks including sake, wine and soft drinks. And to complement your drinks they have a small selection of cheeses.

Great selection for sake and pretty much any type of alcohol.

Pretty big store. They had a lot of whiskey and a separate store just for wine. I wish they had more Japanese whiskey. The prices seemed alright. I didn’t come across anything that looked hugely overpriced.

Nice to find some craft beer varieties after a dull diet of familymart cans !
