Nice natural hot spring “Onsen”. Genders are separated and you got to be completely naked. Price is reasonable too at 800 yen entry and 1000 yen for a towel. Taxi from Ishiawa train station is about 4000 yen for one way. Tattoos seemed to be ok too. Went in with a big dragon tattoo and no one complained. Also, I saw one Japanese man with a large koi fish tattoo on his leg. Food options are available. Great view of Mt Fuji. Apparently amazing for sunrise. Shower before going into the water, not when you get out.

This onsen has simple facilities but the most amazing view. There are several outdoor pools overlooking Kofu Valley and surrounding mountains. You get to sit in the pool while watching the incredible vistas. There is also a restaurant and Cafe with seating outside in front of said view. Would not go on a rainy day.

I was near the area and stumbled upon this onsen. To be honest, I was shocked by the beauty of nature and the scenery that encapsulates this mountains onsen. It's a truly peaceful onsen where you can relax and clear your head.

Amazing views of the valley below and Fuji. The towels that they sell are really cute and funny and I definitely recommend getting one as a keepsake. We went on Christmas Day and watched the sun rise over the mountains. Plenty of picnic tables in front and parking

Great view from the spa pools, temperature is just right. Only accessible by car. Bring your own towel and leave your bags in your car because their locker costs 100 yen and not very big. 800 yen per person.

Hot spring with beautiful night view of Yamanashi. The water temperature was not too hot which made us linger in the onsen for like an hour. Had egg tempura soba noodles after the bath, which was cheap and delicious.

Amazing onsen with wide panoramic views of Kofu the southern Japanese alps and Mt Fuji in the distance (if not cloudy). We went Friday evening and returned on Saturday since we enjoyed it so much. On Saturday the shops next to the onsen opened and served hot food and drinks into the night. Also recommend for the high pH water which helps if you have sensitive skin.

On a clear day you have the perfect view of Mt. Fuji. There are multiple baths so you can have a slightly different experience each time.

If you are finding hot spring spa around here, This is definitely an option! The scenery from the open air bath is really something. You can eat some snacks at food stands if you feel peckish. Try “fried” boiled-eggs.

A little bit far from Yamanashi-shi station of JR, so I recommend you to come with a car or taxi. E-bike rental service is available at the city hall near the station. I tried to climb the hill towards this spa and it was very steep yet, it’s also worth to climb!

If you want to see sunrise, you have to go 1 hour earier than sunrise time. A lot of people are there. I couln't get in "Atchi-no-yu" due to its capacity. From men's
bath you can still see the sunrise and Mt. Fuji!

Took a long trek up on foot. The staff was nice and could speak English very well but when I came out of the bath it was a different staff member. The towel is cute.

Beautiful views with a nice hot soak. Three pools in the ladies area, with one indoors, and two out. Tattoo friendly, and definitely worth the visit. There’s an awesome and funny terrycloth towel for sale, if you’re spur of the moment, and everything else you’ll need for a good soak and shower. Highly recommended by this gaigin. I love it!

You can't go wrong with any onsen, but what makes this one special is the view. I lived in Utah for 4 years and often had views overlooking the Utah valley with all the buildings and lights. So a bit sentimental for me. Also, you can see the stars a little easier since it's not in the city with all the light pollution.

Amazing little onsen. I have a lot of tattoos and marked this place down months ago as somewhere to try after reading that it was tattoo friendly online. I also called the day I went to confirm that that was still the case and got an enthusiastic yes from the staff. こっちの湯, the smaller bath, is a standard no-frills style. It closes earlier than the new bath on weekdays and was very quiet when we went in the afternoon, which was great. It is very clean and has two hot baths and two warm baths, which are perfect if you want to spend some extra time taking in the incredible view without overheating.

There's food available and the tempura soft boiled eggs are amazing. Tickets for the baths and the food are sold by vending machine and it's all in Japanese; if you aren't up on your kana and very basic kanji, you can still logic everything out and use a translation app to help. 温玉あげ is the button for the eggs.

There are no towels for rent so bring your own or buy them there. A big one is 1000 yen and has a cute print on it, so I didn't mind paying and keeping it as a souvenir.

I rented a car to get here from Fujikawaguchiko. It's an easy drive and there's plenty of parking.

The hot springs facility looks up at Mt. Fuji and down on the Kofu basin by day, and commands a view of the reputed "ceiling of starry skies" at night.Visitors can enjoy the changing of the seasons: a blanket of peach flowers covers the Kofu basin in spring, a cool breeze reaches the location 700m above sea level in summer, the mountain range is embraced in red leaves in autumn, and the sky is thickly sprinkled with starts in winter. The site's two hot springs are Acchi-no-yu ("that bath") and Kocchi-no-yu ("this bath").Kocchi-no-yu is the facility's first bath that enjoys perpetual popularity. It consists of an open-air hot spring made of wood and stone, and an indoor bath fragrant of wood. It offers a view of Mt. Fuji in front, and the ridge of Mt. Kabuto (one of Yamanashi's 100 celebrated mountains) to the right. On the other hand, Acchi-no-yu which opened in the end of the Heisei 15 (2003) is doubled in size of the Kocchi-no-yu.It is popular as its grandeur and the location which commands the view of Kofu basin which had been authorized as the new Japan's best three night view. The bath which you can see the fantastic sunrise from is this Acchi-no-yu bath. Moreover, the original spring water of Acchi-no-yu is gushing from 1,500 meters under ground of crush zone, and that PH is 10.1 which is high level, and it will help your skin get smooth and will prevent you from feeling chill after a bath. After bathing, the specialty food, Ontama-Age meets your appetite.Spring quality: Acchi-no-Yu :alkaline simple hot spring/ Koccino-yu :alkaline simple hot spring (hot spring alkaline hypotonic)Effect: Neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain, frozen shoulder syndrome, poor circulation, fatigue recovery, health promotion(Wine List of Yamanashi Prefecture)The shop in the site is selling 50 varieties of wine from Yamanashi prefecture.

(YOU WILL NEED A CAR FOR THIS) Great little onsen overlooking the town and MT Fuji. Go at night where you can bathe underneath the stars. Has several great tubs, it's cheap, allow tattoos, and are nice to foreigners. Theres even a small restraunt right outside. Just watched Yuru Camp and this onsen appeared in it.
