An awesome place to escape the city!

Lots to do and see as you are surrounded by nature and they have several animals like bunnies and ducks. It is very relaxing and I did not have to worry about my young child exploring because it's so kid friendly! Also plenty to do for the grown ups- hot tub/onsen/swimming, basketball hoop, etc. The owners of the property are very nice and have everything you could possibly need! I was very impressed with their store on site, as we forgot some items like dish soap, sponge, etc and they had it.
We can't wait to return for our yearly camp out. 100% reccomend and would return.

Outstanding family friendly campsite, where the greatest thing by far is how unbelievably welcoming and energising (for kids and parents) the owners are (more later).

Kids' appraisal: We (two adult and three children) booked a last minute reservation for two nights in our small RV, and ended up staying for seven! At the end of the month long trip to Japan all the kids said that Moose Family Camp was the best part of the whole holiday - they were gutted to have to leave!

Facilities: the campsite has all the necessary facilities you would expect (electricity, drinking water at the pitch, free toilets, free WiFi) but also more (plenty of shade to keep the RV cooler than an exposed site, a fantastic bath/onsen that can be reserved for the family to use it alone). The whole campsite is also set up as child friendly, well away from any roads or traffic, with bikes, scooters, basketball, and a fantastic pool, capable of about four families in there at a time. We were very lucky to have it to ourselves quite a lot and the kids loved it, using kayaks also provided by the hosts.

Location: about a 20 minute drive away from a host of beautiful sites, shops, and restaurants. Serviced by plenty of small convenience stores, with a big supermarket and DIY shop about 25 minutes away. You feel really out in the sticks (in a good way) while at the campsite, surrounded by rice fields. Peace and quiet!

The X Factor is the hosts: Ervin and Rika were simply superb in their approach. From the moment we arrived after a tiring drive to the moment we left, we were made to feel part of the family (our hosts even said that is why it is called Moose Family) and both of the hosts were fantastic with the children, setting up activities like the udon water slide, making smores with a campfire, and magic tricks. They were also fantastic with my wife and I, giving us great advice for day trips in the local area.

If we can make the journey back to Japan again we will not hesitate to come back, probably to stay in one of the excellent lodges built by Ervin. Hats off to you for such a calming, de-stressing, and deeply entertaining stay!

Thank you.

Awesome place! We wanted to brave camping in the middle of summer with our young family and thought a place with a pool would be perfect! And it was! Awesome pool opened from morning to night, jacuzzi, indoor (a/c) play area for a break, daily lunch offered, play ground, bikes, basketball and fun activities! Plus our campsite under the trees was cool
enough during the day...and the ground is nice and soft, perfect for tenting. Ervin went out of his way to make sure our daughter had fun, and all the other families (many of them regular) were friendly to make it a very relaxed homey feeling vacation. We’ll be back!

One of the best camping ⛺ site in Nasu or even in the Japan 🇯🇵. Where in japan you can enjoy camping 🏕 with swimming pool, jacuzzi and beautiful nature and many more. Only in Moose Family Camp 🏕😍🤘👏👌✌

Nestled in the lap of nature, it is a very wonderful, beautiful camping site. To get here you just have to follow the map (Google Map) and you will land at a perfect location.👍
Check In Time : 11:00 ~
Checkout Time: flexible (We checkout around 12:30)
You may not get the flexibility at checkout anywhere else. Even if in the off season.

Although it looks small but in actual it’s not. Here you can do a bunch of activities. Very well managed by Ervin San and Rika San.👏👍🙏

You can park your car 🚘 in near your stay place, it can be tent ⛺ site, cabin or trailer.

In compare to other camping site, you can find it little bit expensive but the facility which they are providing, you cannot find in any other camping site. So it’s worthy.😍🐶

They divided all the areas with a US cities name like, Washington Cabin, Guam Trailer, Hawaii Cabin, Ohio, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Oregon available.👍🤘 So, you can take a mini US tour in Japan.😅

They have a 2 year old Letty🦮 and she is very nice and has always played with us.🦮😍
It’s a great spot for families as plenty things to do, like kids can enjoy bike riding, hot tub bath, swimming pool(almost open from morning to night), a green tent sites and many more. 👍🤘

There is a common toilet 🚽 and shower 🚿 and both are very comfortable and very clean. You can also enjoy onsen in the bathroom.
If you forgot something to buy then don’t worry. They have one beautiful shop, you can find soft drink to hard drink, ice cream, coffee, barbecue items, swimming costume, snacks, and more.✌👍

If you want to take your garbage then you can, if you want to leave in the camping site, then you need to pay 500 yen 💴 for each garbage bag.

In the end, I found it very unique and a great way to build a good relationship, i.e., Ervin san clicking pics with each family and making one Moose Family Passport. Wow just awesome 👏😍

Overall, we enjoyed a lot with family and our friends. They(Ervin san and Rika san) both treated us like a family.😍🙏 thank you 🙏 See you soon 🔜
📣📣A must visit camping site.

This is a great place. Recently purchased by an American who is reinventing Japanese camping. The hosts bend over backwards to ensure all guests are satisfied. The only rule that is strictly enforced is, "Have fun."
Animals are welcome, too! Very thoughtful policies including late night pool, jacuzzi, office hours are aplenty. I think there might be wifi if you ask. The bath rental is a little steep if you take more than one bath or have a large group (time block was only 30 minutes for my family of 5). But another group got to schedule two blocks for the boys and girls to use separately. Also, updates and new events are scheduled and on the way.

Most amazing camping experience. Ervin and Rika where amazing host, Fanaminal cooks and made our first camping experience in Japan Unbelievably enjoyable. The japanese bath was beautiful with natural backround sounds with birds chirping peacefully. If you have not experienced a Japanese bath before you will fall in love. The location of this camping ground is perfect for all types of family fun. We went skiing inthe mountains one day. Spent the next at the monkey park and the safari park where we watched monleeys and cats perform in shows. Fed all types of creatures from parrots to bunnies to zebras, giraffs and alpacas. The fun is never ending. And if you finish you outing early or just prefer to stay at camp there are a number of activities for the whole family. A play ground. Bikes of all shapes and sizes. A ping pong table. Swimming pool and jacuzzi. And many other activities. This quiet grassy camp ground is all around a fanamilal place and i can not recomend it more.

I HIGHLY recommend Moose Family Camp Resort. Ervin & Rika are amazing!!!! We had a group of 16 people ( 4 different families). It's hard to even put into words how meaningful this trip was. They went above and beyond taking care of us and you literally feel at home. You are welcomed and treated as family. They have campers and tents you can rent, a huge pool, jacuzzi, kids playground, playroom inside, party area to serve food, shower, Japanese Bath, fire pit..etc. It's tucked away and so beautiful and peaceful. We are so sad our weekend is over and are definitely coming back. Beautiful place, wonderful people. ♥check out their group page. They are quick to message over FB( look up Ervin Lawrence ) if you have questions! Happy camping!
Also... It's open YEAR ROUND! It's about a 2 1/2ish hour drive from Yokota AB, & About 4800 for tolls one way.

Moose is our favorite camp site! We did our school camp ala SURVIVOR tv program. With campfire, tikitiki, etc.
Survivor Camp PLUS Halloween! A grand total of Amazing Fun for us.

Mr. Moose and wife Rika are the most accommodating camp owners I had ever met.
They treat everyone as their family. Rika San even made me a bday cake!

Best camp ever! 5stars and 5hearts! Cheers!!!
