Yokoyama Observatory Deck

Stunning view. Visitor center a stone's throw away is a good starting point to decide how much you wish to explore. They have Oculus headsets for a virtual tour of the national park too, so that you can pick your routes.

The deck here provides a breathtaking view of Ago bay. Not many visitors when here at the start of December. There is a cafe here too if walking isn't your thing. No pets though.

I went in April and it was perfect weather for this kind of walking. There is an unbroken view of the Ago Bay, which is famous for its deeply indented coastline. The view of the numerous islands and pearl boats is absolutely incredible. You can drive and park at the top of the observation point. If you don't drive, it's takes about 15mins uphill walk from the visitor information office. The walk or drive is worth the effort and you are rewarded with great views for free, no admission charges. Highly recommended.

•What a great view (even on a somewhat cloudy day)! It can get windy and chilly. It was probably about a 4-5 minute walk up the steps from the parking lot.
•The cafe doesn't have an espresso machine, but the drink variety is pretty expansive otherwise. You can get a 20-yen discount if you bring your own cup! The katsuo (bonito) burger was actually pretty tasty! It comes out cold so you have to like cold burgers, but I'd say it was tastier than your average fish burger!

Great vantage point across the Shima islands with a pretty large deck as a viewing spot. One doesn't need to spend alot of time at this spot as it's pretty close to the carpark. Roads are easily accessible.

Perfect viewing place, can see the the panoramic view of Shima city. Ill be back next time for sunset experience✨

A very accessible section of ise shima national park. Abt 40min walk from shima yokoyama station. The side walk is spacious and lined with I believe sakura trees next to the road. Its probably very beautiful in the spring. Before 8 it was quiet and almost no cars.

Very nice view from the hill top of Yokoyama observation desk，you can see the beautiful panorama veiw of Shima. There is a bit windy, remember bring your wind breaker clothes to here.

Able to overlook Ago Bay’s great view and it’s unique landscape from nice wooden deck! Just 5 mins walk from the parking lot.

Lovely observatory with several paths that lead into the surrounding forests. The best views are at sunrise!

Love this spot. Either park your car at the street level where the visitor center is or drive a few minutes up the slope and use the parking up there which has about thirty spaces.

The views from here are stunning. There are several viewing platforms which give different angles and views. Definitely worth visiting!

This is a good place to escape the heatstroke during summer. The view is very good and less people going here. From the nearest station, you have to walk uphill for 2km. It's hot but it's nice.

Just opened '18 summer after long and big construction.
The view from the top is just magnificent-one of the best viewing spots in Shima.
It has a nice cafe where you can get sweets including aosa(sea weed)soft cream.
Shima people must be proud of this new amazing sightseeing spot!

Beautiful walks that make for a great nature sightseeing afternoon. Easy walks. Some stairs of course.
