昔はマンモス校だったとか。そのおかげか、校庭は広くゆとりがあると思う。
建設現場用の大型建機のタイヤで作られた通称「タイヤの山」はここ以外で見たことがない。最初はもっと高かったらしいが、事故で低くしたとか…
上履きのまま遊べる中庭（人工芝）も珍しいかも。
週末は少年野球や少年サッカーも使うので出入りがしやすい。
地域に開かれ、地域が育む学校であってほしいと思う。
