群馬県富岡甘楽広域消防本部（富岡市）は７日、無許可で副業をしていた下仁田消防署の男性消防士（２２）を、停職１か月の懲戒処分にした。消防士は同日、依願退職した。

発表によると、消防士は２０２０年５～１１月の間、化粧品や空気清浄機を扱う連鎖販売取引（マルチ商法）を行い、知人の紹介料として８万円を得ていた。また、コロナ禍で行動が制限される時期に複数回、県外に出かけて同僚に不安を与えたことも処分理由とした。

同消防本部は、職員の不祥事が相次いだため、昨年１１月、検証委員会を設置。職員に実施したアンケートで、この消防士の副業の実態を把握した。
