Beautiful Japanese castle in Osaka. Kishiwada Castle was reconstructed in 1954 and is on Japan’s 100 Continuous Castle List. Entry is only 300 yen. The museum has lots of material, but the descriptions are all in Japanese.

If you are in the neighborhood, you should stop by. The place is quiet, and the view is nice. The admission fee is 300 Yens, and you can find a very nice collection of ancient Japanese armors is on display. The building has three floors and photography is not allowed. Only five mins walk from the nearest train station.

The area around the castle is gorgeous and on a Sunday filled with vendors selling trinkets and street food. Sakura blossoms were falling everywhere. The stonework is not well assembled, but it is still a beautiful area with a fantastic stone garden. The grounds are active with businesses. There was a dojo in one of the castle buildings actively in use. Very cool atmosphere.

Fantastic view of the castle on a bright sunny day in April. Surrounded by cherry blossoms and local snack stalls. A 15 mins walk from Kishiwada Station and 8 mins walk from Takojizo Stn.

Beautiful castle, especially with the Sakura blooming around it.
Entrance to the grounds is free, I arrived late so I couldn't go inside(so I don't know the cost), and they stop admitting people to the inside of the castle at 4pm (16:00).

I came to this Castle for the garden designed by the late Mirei Shigemori. The design of the dry rock garden is absolutely amazing!

Great view from the top floor plus a pretty cool selection of old warrior outfits.
Also it provided a nice break from the amazing Danjiri Matsuri.
I accidentally lost one of my earrings, and despite a lack of common language, they understood and searched the entire castle for it! It wasn't found, but I truly appreciate this gesture.

One of the smaller castles, it looked as if out of a storybook; beautiful and charming. A bit of an interesting museum inside with fascinating vistas from the top.

Blossom is begin now. It might not have full blossom for another week or two. It is quiet and lesser crowded.
