Awashima Shrine

Bit spooky but cute shrine. There’s a tree trunk you crawl through to make your wish come true. They hold ceremonies to appease the souls of dolls. Maybe Chucky and Annabelle should be brought here😅

Really special and rare place to visit in Wakayama, Osaka. There are plenty of dolls, lucky cats that make a holly sense

Very nice place near to seaside 🌊. Parking is available 30 mins for free if you visit temple and please show the parking ticket to the front office of temple and they will give you free parking for 30 mins. Or ¥550 for 1 hour. Toilet is free available. Shops are near available only cash. No convenient store nearby.

This place is as a repository for sick, dying and abandoned dolls, which according to Japan's traditional Shinto belief system, require a kind of exorcism lest they come back to haunt their former owners. The dolls on public display are creepy enough,some with real human hair and eyes that follow you.However there is rumoured to be a hidden group that have the stigmata of possession; growing hair and nails, bleeding eyes! just imagining their existance completes an eerie experience
This shrine is a must for those who want to experience traditional, uncontaminated Japanese culture.

Amazing shrine with colletion creepy dools. I like it.

Before you take the ferry to Tomogashima, you`ll most likely be pointed in the direction of this shrine. With a huge collection of various dolls, it makes an interesting stop off.

A fun little shrine with a lot of figurines standing guard ... Really good place for pictures

Very special shrine, strongly recommend to check if you like unusual places or interested in Japanese culture.

不思議な世界に迷い込む。

人形所狭しと並べられ、多種多様、見本市状態。こんなにあるのは、壮観だね。

中には、これもいいのと、ツッコミ入る？

松本清張の小説「Dの複合」で存在を知りました。加太線の終点である加太駅から約2キロ歩きます。人形供養は知っていましたが、婦人病快癒祈願のため下着を奉納するのは知りませんでした。御朱印は書き置きのみで残念ですが、眺めは最高です。

人形の供養で有名なあわしま神社です。沢山の人形が奉納されています。付近には駐車場もあり、参道には海鮮のお食事処もあります。

這座神社在ㄧ個海邊旁，附近有魚港。我聽女兒說：有ㄧ部動漫在這裡取景。

從和歌山搭乘jr到那裡，出口的jr站的櫃臺，滿有活力的擺飾，jr車廂也是。

神社內有供許多的人偶，動物類、面具…滿獨特的。那裡景色優美

今イチオシのダークギャザリング第2話に登場する聖地です。
雰囲気最高でした(oﾟ∀ﾟ)ﾌﾞﾊｯ∵∴
いろいろな人形が供養されていました。
社務所の前の柱の中を、願いをかけながら通れると叶うそうです。
自分は通れそうに無いので諦めましたが(笑)
駐車場🅿ちょっと分かりづらく、少ないです。
