Totally love at the first sight. They have a lot of foxes. Especially the rare white fox is the most charmed kinds of all. The kids and even me, really love to come back many times. Please be careful under the warching not touching them. Follow the notifications of the staffs, you will enjoy the best fairytale time ever.
Don’t bring the pet (especially the dog). They do not accept.

The foxes are so sweet.

Some may think they are trapped within the boundary and worse, in cages. As a tourist I have no say in this matter.

But from the point of attraction, this is one of a time experience, to come close to another cute animal other than domestic pets like cats and dogs. They argue all the time and it’s fun to just watch them.

Lot of foxes. Little bit smelly.
Kids friendly but need to go with adult.

Visitors can come by a local bus but usually fully booked. Visitors can come by taxi from train station cost around 4,500 yen.

Very cute and peaceful place to see a lot of foxes. Foxes were all pretty relaxed and didn't seem stressed.

It's fairly small and probably won't take more than an hour even if you stick around for feeding time. In the weekend morning there were very few people about.

Driving there is quite easy and there is a good sized parking lot.

Although staff don't speak English the basic rules are printed in English and easy to follow.

Da cute little foxys. This is honestly worth the hour 30 train ride into a 30 minute bus ride. Glad it was snowing too because the pictures up there really contrast the coats of the foxes. Holding is totally worth it this time of year, and these eepy guys are so chill.

If you love foxes and want to see them, I recommend you to come here.
Actually, they do have events like you can take photo with foxes’s kid but when I went there the activity was closed already.. it’s really pity

The foxes are very cute, I hope the management takes a good care of them. During our visit, everything was okay, only 2 foxes fighting that we saw, and all of them look fine. Though the smell is inevitable.

Foxes are my favorite animal and I was absolutely in heaven being able to be around so many of them!
When I was there they all looked healthy and were playful with each other.
I also did the experience to hold the foxes with my friends and I cried because I was so happy!
The staff will take pictures for you as well when you hold them and we’re super nice!

really cool experience especially in the winter!
they have a fox holding experience toward the front of the village, then a whole open area to walk through with foxes everywhere. 100% recommend, and super foreigner friendly!

It is not exactly an easy place to get to, but it is worth the work if you are an animal lover. Thou they are trapped in a huge cage compare to being in the wild but it is definitely better than the zoo and gave me a chance to interact with the animal otherwise itnwould be dangerous to encounter them in the wild.

I was lucky enough being the last person doing the fox interaction session since I missed ( or more like didn't understand) the announcement for the event, but I was there when it was happening. It starts twice a day at 11 am and 2 pm for 700 yen a person. Letting you pet the animal for a while... such lovely and fun experience.... same as dog.. don't panic as it picks up your vibe

Always wanted to go the fox village and I wasn’t disappointed. Just remember before you plan they close every Wednesday!! I drove up there from Sendai only took an hour, I was looking at buses and trains it took too long and too much hassle driving was the best option in my opinion!
Once you go inside you will see several foxes in cages and some chained up, they are the friendly ones, twice a day 11am and 2pm staff will bring them out and you can hold them while the staff take pictures for you!
Once you get inside the large enclosure you will see over 200 foxes maybe, mostly they are sleeping curled up like cinnamon rolls! If you are ever in Sendai make this trip you won’t be disappointed!

Many foxes walked around you and lived peacefully. Though many kept in cages. They were new born or rare breeds. They even offered photos taking with the foxes. It costs Y600. Hope they will let those in cages come out walking and get some freedom.

Wonderful experience. It was pouring rain but most of the area is covered. Genuinely a lot of foxes - clearly wild but also very cute. Had the chance to hold and pet an adorable little black fox! Great place for kids but probably only over seven or eight years old.

Bus from Shiroishizao JR Station runs twice a day everyday except wednesdays. There’s an infographic in the station that says you have to take a Taxi, but that’s not true.
Plan your trip timing very wisely,

You wouldn’t spend more than 1.5Hrs here.

Bus costs 800 yen per way. You pay upfront on the Way to the village but pay when you alight on the way back to the station.

1500 yen entrance fee
700 yen petting fee (optional)

Instructions are given in the form of a video (scan QR code) for non Japanese speakers
You have to store your big bags with the reception

When you enter, there will be a caged section where you are not able to take photos of the foxes in the cage, but further in, you enter the free-roaming enclosure.

Foxes appear to be very used to human Presence, are very friendly (or they don’t care about you)
They are natural posers for photographs

If the foxes pee on you, you will attract more foxes 🥲

Here are some photos of cute foxes

Quite a distance to travel to but we'll worth it once you arrived. The moment you step into the grounds, those little cute foxes will be all around you, free-roaming and curious. Caught a few sleepy heads that's curled up with their fluffy tail. Was amused and surprised by the noises they make. Have to hear it to believe it. One of the best places to see and experience a large group of foxes in their natural setting.

LOTs of cute foxes everywhere in this little park. It was my second time visiting but they are all super cute like before. Tho, there are lots of icy part in the park so if you are not very confident in walking, this place might be difficult in the winter. They got separate area for feeding foxes and also they do touch or hug the fox around 2pm.
However it is not a zoo, so keep that in mind. Not too recommended with small children either. Perfect spot if you wanna see cute fox or wanna take cute pics.
Parking is free, you can take cab or bus too. Entrance fee is ¥1,000. Probably need 15min or less to spend in this facility.

Absolutely amazing experience. You will be right in the pen with the foxes. Just be aware that they are indeed wild animals, and while the signage and staff will do all they can, it's definitely not a place to mess about. That being said, it is unforgettable and absolutely recommended. Just be careful and follow the signs. Also, check the bus run times, or you will need to take a taxi, which can be pricey.

I've been here twice, once during the summer and once during the winter. The fox's fur is especially beautiful during the winter. Their behaviour resembles a mix of dogs and cats but beware! Tho they are cute, its a 100% guarantee they will bite once you touch them.

I always wanted to come here after seeing videos on YouTube. It was a little different than videos because many YouTubers were breaking rules of the park. You can't sit down with them or pet them in the trail area. There is a designated feeding place for food you buy at the front area. You can do a petting experience at the front of the park with baby foxes, though. It was a little out of the way to get to the park, but it was worth it.
