Hossam and his team are excellent. Stayed here for one night. Was driving myself and was directed to park at Orbit Camp (easily accessible by rental car) where I was then picked up and driven to Arena Camp. Arrived there around 2:30 in the afternoon. Lounged around outside for awhile before going on a desert tour. Since it was just me, Hossam drove me in his truck. We stopped at a few photo points but I really enjoyed making the Ajram soap. Dinner, breakfast, and tea were all fantastic and I was always offered water. Did a sunrise camel ride in the morning too. Would love to return in a different season when it is not so hot.

Went with a group of 18. Spent a night there. Everybody was extremely hospitable, friendly and helpful. Food was really good. You get served free tea made on a camp fire constantly. The guys working there made us feel welcomed from the get go. Best thing apart from the views are the truck rides. They made sure to take us on the sand hills for a better thrill. Would highly recommend!!

I had a very nice tent with its own terrace and outdoor furniture viewing the upcoming moon above rock formation.

If I had the chance to give more stars to this place, I would not hesitate... I traveled to Jordan in September with three friends, and this was certainly one of the highlights. Everything was perfect, from the food to the activities and the tent. We wanted to do a special mention to Husam and his team, as they were super friendly and gave us really good tips. Husam is also really funny and a cool individual, so I would highly recommend staying at his camp if you travel to Wadi Rum.

Magical place!!! We, a family of four, stayed only for a night but really wish it was for longer. Everyone was friendly and we were treated like family. A local dish was prepared for dinner and it was delicious. After dinner we had someone performing local music/songs..
The camp itself is uniquely situated in the foot of a high natural rock wall on one side and a sand dune on the other. A quite picturesq location - a must see as it is hard to describe!
The whole experience was amazing!!

A very good experience, when I visited It looked pretty nice. The people there were amazing and the tour around the desert was fantastic. We had an amazing tour around the desert and made some nice photos. The room had warm water air conditioning and it wasnt cold in there. If you are trying to find a camp to stay in, i really recommend it!

My husband and me wanted to try the real Bedouin life and we found our happiness at Arena camp!
The host houssam met us at the parking place as planned, he was very kind, friendly and ponctuel.
We stayed in a clean, air-conditioned and well equipped tent : toilet, shower and socket.
Afterwards, houssam offered us an awesome trip to discover the wqdi-rum desert for free (my husband birthday's) at golden hour, we settled in the back of the SUV to enjoy the ride and the view of the sunset, the landscape was breathtaking and we felt a strong sensation of Ralley in the dunes of wadi rum, he waited for us until we finished taking pictures and he was very patient with us.
Back to the camp, an unlimited flavored tea was waiting for us, the best tea we have ever tasted without exaggeration
At dinner, we ate a melting roast chicken cooked for 2/3 hours in the sand with an assortment of very varied vegetables and delicious salads, we ate really well!!
After dinner, we enjoyed the local songs and dancing with the other guests around the tea, arguilé and watermelon offered. we had the best evening of our life, the dancing, the music, the oud, the stars, the atmosphere was perfect, people were super friendly and welcoming, we enjoyed every single minute of it.
We also learnt to danse debkeh and to speak few Jordanian's word.

We slept deeply at the tent, the bed was super confortbale and it was calm and spirituel, not noisy at all.

In the morning, we had an open buffet breakfast of delicious local food that was included.

We recommend 100000% houssam and his team who still preserve customs, cultures and traditions that we really lost nowadays .
In a few words, we learnt lessons of hospitality
generosity and wisdom from hussam and his team, it was one of the most beautiful adventures of our lives and for sure the best birthday celebrated ever.

Thanks Hussam, We will back for sure one day insha'Allah.

Beautiful place, in the evening when we were eating our dinner, they played live music, set the fire and made amazing atmosphere. The food was also excellent. People were very kind, we get melon when we arrived and water was also included in the price, not like at other places.

My family and I stayed at Arena in December 2021. This experience was my favorite part of traveling in Jordan. The camp is so lovely but Hassam and his family and staff really made this experience for us. We parked at a nearby parking lot and they met us there and took us to the camp in their truck. About 10 min later, we were warmly greeted by Hassam. He was friendly and conversational. The rooms were great. It's a small cabin with running hot water and a heater. We decided to go out and a drive through the desert with one of the guys. Wadi Rum is stun.ning. Driving around I could imagine scenes from films like Dune, Star Wars and The Martian being shot here. And the driver, who was awesome and Hassam's nephew, would point out places of interest. There were places we wanted to stop and he was fine with that. We got to watch the sunset in a beautiful location and headed back to the camp for dinner. As they were preparing dinner, we sat in the casual room (idk what to call it haha) and there were young guys, friends of the family, who were playing guitars and singing lovely melodies and slow songs. We sipped on tea, sat on the masjid and lounged for a bit. Then we headed over to see them take out dinner from the ground- it was buried in a container in the sand. They explained the process to us and we headed inside and had a delicious dinner with other campers.

After dinner, my family and I wandered up out of the camp site - not too far - and hung out in the desert in the dark for a short while. We headed back to the camp where they started up a camp fire for us, and one of the guys came and sat with us and played his guitar and sang a little. We asked if they could turn off the main lights around the camp site and without hesitation did it. It made being out in the desert a bit more authentic.

There was an option for a sunrise camel ride into the desert. My partner and fil did this and said it was really enjoyable and low key. The sunset was nice. There were a couple of other campers who went along. The guide gave them tea and they hung out for a little while. I woke early and was able to catch them coming back, and it was so fun seeing them in the vast desert riding on the camels. The guide seemed to really care for his family of camels and they looked healthy and well. He was amiable, funny and kind.

My family and I cannot recommend Arena Desert Camp enough! I know there are a lot of camps in the area but I'm very happy we chose this one.

Very good camp, tents are with AC.
We came late in the evening, driver picked us up from meeting point and drove to the camp.
You can order dinner if you want, they made meat in special pot and prepared salads and rice with bread. (Payed extra, 10jod per person)
Next day the owner of the camp gave us a ride aroud wadi rum area (payed extra)

Otherwise there is not much to do there because you are alone on the beach. :)

Overall experience was very good!

I've been lucky enough to travel to over 30 countries and have stayed in hundreds of hostels, camps and hotels, but I rarely ever write a review. I wanted to write one for Arena because it was one of the absolute highlights of my trip to Jordan, thanks almost entirely to Hasam and the other workers at the camp. I honestly can't recommend this place enough, Hasam made me feel at home instantly, was incredibly kind and great to talk to. We also did a jeep tour with Unis (sorry if I'm spelling his name incorrectly!) who was amazing! The dinner and breakfast were both great, as was hanging out and chatting by the fire and under the stars. There are quite a few camps to choose from in Wadi Rum now but I couldn't be happier that this was the one I picked! Thank you Hasam for being such a brilliant host and friend!

This camp had by far the best location of all the camps in Wadi Rum. A quick climb up the sandy hill and you have the most beautiful view of Wadi Rum. The breakfast and dinner was delicious and the camp was clean and well kept. We had such a wonderful experience, the best ao far in Jordan and we cannot wait to go back and take our parents with us!

The location on Google Maps is correct. It’s on the west of Visitor Center. It seems to be the most modern camp with reasonable price! All the brothers and family members there are very helpful and welcoming. Only problem is we found a huge cockroach under the pillow..
